Could this be because of the release of the Witcher 3 1.08 patch?

Thanks guys
similarly
same for me, i cant even update witcher 3 as it always keeps disconnecting me whenever I try to update
This was the case with patch 1.07 as well. It's most likely their servers getting overloaded.
and i bought the game today damn ^^
never play on patchday is known for me in MMOs but now also here? kinda sad
GOG's Galaxy Client is a work (beta) in progress. To install the game and patches during heavy usage periods simply download them directly from GOG. Go to your Account Library to get all of the install/update files and extras. https://www.gog.com/account
Nevermind --- I found it --- it downloaded to a different disk so once I found it, it installed when I ran it.

All is well, I hope.
=============

I did this and it downloaded the files ( or said it did ) but it apparently did not install them because when I started the game it said 1.07.

Don't know where it put the files or how to install them. I went into the menu / manage and said / show folder but the downloaded files don't seem to be there.

Except the fucking website hasn't loaded for me at all today, and just now started coming up. Same thing happened yesterday. I didn't even know the patch had dropped because I couldn't log in on any format of GoG.
