Today I have had big problems with movement.

Since day one my horse will not move sometimes. Have to press the W key many times to get the sonofabitch to move.

Today, my boat would NOT stop.

Boat would not backup either sometimes and when it did it barely moved.
Hitting < shift > for fast does NOTHING in reverse. Works in forward.

Sometimes my toon ( Geralt of course ) just starts jumping and won't quit.

Only fix I've found is to exit the game and restart.

Not today but the other day I had these issues:

I have had 2 CTD's today and only 2 in over 280hrs of play before that.

I also have the Geralt jumping issue today, which I have only had once before.

Something wrong with Boxing as well, I had a guy (Einar) in Skellige hitting me when he was clearly too far away to reach, like way too far away.

Have had sound issues with Yennefer's spell sound from the boat trip in the Last Wish quest stick with me for a couple of minutes as well.

Just weird its all happening today.

It would seem that you have solved your own problem,outside of
a patch fix.

I know everybody is eagerly awaiting the addition of storage chests, but I think the item I am most looking forward to in the upcoming patch is the supposedly "new and improved" Roach. In the current version of the game, Roach's behavior is so frustrating I actually prefer to walk long distances than ride him (which isn't necessarily the worst thing since the game looks so amazing).

Between the frequent stops before bridges and other narrow passageways (which are particularly fun during a horse race), to the fact that he will invariably head straight for, and run into, a cluster of trees if I'm not steering him with ultimate precision (super good times when I'm being chased by monsters who then catch up to me), it's just a chore using him. He also has the acceleration of a ten-speed bike and the responsiveness of a tank.

Hopefully the 1.07 patch will fix these issues; otherwise, the next custom marker I set will be the glue factory.

Tried stopping your boat using the "x" key or hitting space (key)?

Do you have any other controller (joystick, driving wheel, game pad) connected? If yes, try disconnecting it before launching the game.
