The Quick Choice activity is supposed to be bound to the "click" of the mouse wheel. My Witcher key bindings will accept "mouse wheel", but nothing happens when I try to bind by clicking the wheel downwards. Outside of Witcher, the downnward click functions normally to set scrolling speed. Do any of you have problems with that Witcher key binding? I'm using a Logitech M510 five button mouse.

Maybe the mouse is a little bit too fancy and they only configured for Standard Microsoft Wheel mouse.
Logitech have been known to play up.

If you are referring to the "Use Quick Access Item" binding? by default it is set to "Middle Mouse Button" so not sure why you would change it.
Try restoring the key bindings to default & then play the game & check if it works.

I appreciate the reply. As I understand it, the "middle mouse button" is accessed by pressing down on the scroll wheel. I have used the default bindings, and pressing down "clicking" the wheel doesn't do anything.
Are you using a mouse? How does it access "Use Quick Access Item"? Thanks.

right now i'm using a Logitech G602 which works perfectly with Witcher 3.
Have you tried playing the game using the default key bindings & does the quick access item select work while playing?.

Default bindings all work except wheel click. If I bind Quick Access to another key, it works normally. I just want the convenience of the wheel click for weapons.

I had to change my mouse for Witcher 3. Had a Microsoft mouse and the middle/scroll button wouldn't work with the Witcher 3, got a Razer and all of a sudden I could quick fire the crossbow!!!

Final outcome: It was hardware failure. Although I opened and cleaned my mouse carefully and checked the click action, somewhere in its little mousie guts something had broken. I substituted a different mouse and the mouse click Quick Choice was back!
