Wondering if someone can help me out with this problem.

Since I got the game, I've been having sporatic popups telling me I should close Witcher 3 to prevent memory loss. This is annoying and closing usually resolves it, but as time goes on it eventually crashes the game. I'm not sure what the cause of this is or if this was discussed in another post and I missed it. If anyone could give me info it would be great.

System Information:
Intel i5-3550 CPU
GTX 970 -> Drivers fully updated via Geforce Experience
RAM: 8GB --> Available physical/virtual memory ~6GB each.

If anyone could give me some advice it would be great. Thank you!

This may not be helpful to you, but I managed to fix my out of memory errors permanently by enabling my page file. Before this I was getting them rather frequently, but this may not help you.

If it does not work, try increasing the amount of page file memory you have allocated.
That seemed to do it for the time being. Not sure if just coincidence or what but no problems since I did the page file change.

I will continue playing to find this out but in the meantime, thank you and may the Eternal Fire guide your path.
I have 8 Gigs of memory and 4096 MB allocated to the pagefile (has not gone past 2048 MB) and I still occasionally get this problem.
Hopefully it will be fixed in the next patch!

That seems a bit small for a page file. If you set it to system managed it will normally create a page file about the same size as your RAM which can then expand up to 3x your RAM size. Microsoft link:

I don't know, perhaps the Witcher 3 just needs lots of page memory space even if it doesn't use it. I have noticed no stuttering or slow downs that would indicate i'm running out of RAM.
As you can see from the link provided by Jamie his suggestion worked for me, just to be sure I then went and bought more ram to bump me up to 16 gigs, played for 4 hours last night with no issues.

It is definitely the 1.04 patch that caused this issue for me though I was fine before it.

I have monitored the game, and even with geometry heavy scenes like in Novigrad the engine generally uses up to 3.5 GB Max (which leaves me with 2.5 GB free). I hear you on the MS recommended pagefile, but it is also generally recommended to set the pagefile completely off to force apps to use up all available memory (not a good idea, obviously, if you have apps that eat all the RAM). I have had no stuttering when this happens (or stuttering in any of my games which indicate the pagefile is sufficient), and it has only happened once or twice after a long play session.
Disabling the pagefile (as a test venture) has generally worked for me in all games except GTA V, and obviously things like UDK 4 and 3DSMAX. So for those I have re-enabled it. I would love to throw in another 8 gigs, finances allowing!

There most likely is some specific event in the game which is triggering a memory leak, otherwise the lack of RAM would be something frequently encountered.

Nvidia just released a new graphics driver 353.06 last night and when I fired up my rig today
the game has not crashed once. So far so good. I also found out that Geforce Experience was
causing some major problems with the game
