Does anyone have a definitive number for the level cap?

Also, do skill points scale at higher levels or do we always get 1 point/level?
current max cap is 70.

afaik currently it seems to be 1 skill point per leveling. but then again I'm only level 10 now. You can gain additional 15 skill point at Places of Power.

Speaking of those -- I found two "Places of Power" in the beginning area. Are those all, or did I miss one?

You mean in White Orchard? I think you missed more than one.

Wow, and I thought I explored the area thoroughly. Spent a long time in the beginning area, but I turned off most of the guides etc., so I don't see stuff on the map until I've actually discovered it.

I heard you can return to the area later, so at least now I have a reason to do that. :P

When you do, please, tell me what had happened with that girl at Herbalist's house, if you helped her.

You can find out what happens to her immediately after your decision, by reading the journal.

Does GOG have spoiler tags?
When you get back, the herbalist says that she was getting better, but Nilfgaardians took her for some unknown reason. The journal, however, lets you know that while she survived the mortal wounds, the potion melted her mind. I think the boy she was meeting ends up taking her to some city.
I did that, but friend of mine told me that in her game girl screamed and something else happened. In mine and other friend's games there were no such things. So I wonder what was that.

It doesn't. :)

I've had her walk in from outside, and lay down on the cot. I also had an NPC that looked like her walk in and stand on the cot, after the Nilfgaardians had supposedly taken her. I think it is just buggy. My guess for the screams would be that wolves were nearby at the time. They like to prowl that area, and NPCs yell or scream sometimes when hostiles come within a certain distance of them.

I've seen a lot of clones, so no surprises someone looking like someone else. But I haven't see her after leaving White Orchards.
As for screaming, from what I understand, my friend meant that she heard from other NPC of girl's screams, not screams of girl herself. That surprised me, because for every other person I know, girl healed fine, and Nilfgaardians take her without accidents.
Thanks for reply.

Oh yeah, the herbalist didn't say anything to me about her screaming, only that she was getting better when they took her. I think ultimately her brain fries though, per Dandelion's journal entry.
Level cap of 70? Wow, that's gonna take a while.

So with such a high cap will there be a new game plus? Or is there really that many quest? I've just cleared White Orchard and done a little bit in the next zone so I'm not too far, but I'm only level 4.
2ChecyNoel - thanks.:)

Remember previous games. In first level cap was 50, I think, but with normal playing, without excessive grinding, you could get somewhere around 35. Judging by certain quests levels, game aims at least somewhere there.
