In the blood and wine DLC there is two quests where the in use on a ladder will not work. Any ideas . I play it through GoG Galaxy and on a PC thanks for any ideas I am at my wits end trying to end some of these quests .

Many games, The Witcher 3 included, have issues with interactive objects such as ladders, doors and even npcs. The usual 'fix' is to stand next to the object or npc who you are having trouble with, save your game and reload it. The blacksmith in Kaer Trolde is a notorious example of this.

Hi , I really appreciate the reply but I am afraid the save and reload won't work with these ladder problems . There are actually two ladders that won't work the others do ummm !

The please give more details, particularly which quests and what stage/s you are in, and exactly which ladders.

Well the ladder I am trying right now is " from Ofieris Distant Shores " Return the diagrams to the Ofieri merchant . On the way down the ladder says in use but won't do anything so I jump down and get the item then try to get up and there isn't even a in use coming up. I have the latest drivers and such and lots of ram etc. but this game is getting flakey . Sometimes i get to a site and i can see the sky through the ground and such I don't know these games cost Sooo much and yet they keep having clitches but thanks for taking the time .

That did cross my mind ;-) Can I somehow reload without losing everything ? Is there a repair ? Gog sent me the year

You can use Verify/repair from Gogo Galaxy or you can install Goty and move the save files to this one...

Yes, as noted, since you're using Galaxy, use the Verify/Repair option to fix your game. BUT... before you do this, remove any and ALL mods you have installed. Do not just disable them, remove them, including any scripts you have downloaded. You won't lose anything; your saved games are kept in 'Documents' and will still work.
