Hi! I´m seriously considering buyng this game. However, is a good joystick (which I don´t have) needed in order to enjoy the game, or can I play it well with mouse plus keyboard?

Not at all. In fact, game is far better played with mouse and keyboard. I made a mistake of starting playing it with the controller once and it was just that- a mistake.

Since I started playing this, I used mouse and keyboard. At the baginning I was having difficulty doing "dodge" move. my thumb is not accustome to hittng "alt" key. but I learned to do it.

One day digging through my pile of junk, i happened to pick up my old rumblepad 2. I've read somewhere I could use x360 emulator to make it to work on W3. so I did that. And found out mouse and keyboard was actually better. selecting and casting sign while in combat is much quicker. Navigating through sub menus is easier

Signed. My favourite combination is KB & Gamermouse. One mouse button for every sign, the fingers of the left hand remain on the movement keys: Gorgeous. And terrifically fast... I'm not so happy; my fingers would form a tangle. Glad that it's not necessary. Double tapping the movement keys W,A,S, D has the same effect and is much easier for me.

You can pirouette-dodge by just double tapping a direction though. And use jump button to roll-dodge. Seriously, i'm amazed you've managed to dodge with Alt+direction at all. I sure as hell wasn't able to do it at all.

I find alt quite useful in the championfistfights... the tailor is really difficult on lower lvls and alt gets you backwards out of the way if you tab it without the directionkeys, and you're still close enough to hit the guy before he gets his guard up again...But I understand the frustration...XD Though i got used to that key in witcher 1, highlighting usables cause i'm too lazy to check them in person...geralt...whatever ^^o
