In my opinion, RPG shouldn't be rushed, especially the first time. If i was you, i'll restart all the game from the begining and took my time doing everything to finish it.

Blackbeard007: I have just finished witcher 3. I finished the game in 40 hours. This is because i only did the main quests as i was excited to know what happens next. During my gameplay, i felt like i was rushing the story and missed out many stuffs in the game. I found myself skipping some of the dialogue as i was very impatient and eager to know what's next. After completing the game a day ago, my heart was filled with regret. I purchased the dlcs immediately after completing the game. I need advice!! Should i replay the main game or start playing the dlcs first.
Replay the main game, from the beginning. Take your time and talk to everybody. Do side quests and don't skip dialog as there's so much that you will miss. Patience is a virtue.

Blackbeard007: u mean dont play the dlc first?
That's right. The DLCs are self-contained, but they have starting level requirements, plus you said yourself that you missed so much from the main game and felt regret. Start again.
