Hi !

First of all, I'm sorry if my english is not perfect, I'm french.

As said in the title, I got some bugs on some armors. The concerned textures became blue or red, and even if it's not that annoying, I'd prefer it to be normal.

I know that the problem does not come from my (low end) pc, because my brother has this bug too. So if anyone has a solution, you're welcome !

Here are a few screenshots of the bugs.

It's visible in gameplay and in inventory. And I'm really sorry but I don't remember when it appeared =/
copy paste
/documents/witcher 3/user.settings
...The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\rendering.ini
on pastebin for example

I bet this is a kind of low spec inoffical distro :) for win 3.11
I think there's something I don't get. Do I have to paste user.settings inside the base folder ? Or must I open both files and copy the content of user.settings inside rendering.ini ?

EDIT : I (finally) understood your post. I put a link so you can dl a txt file with the content of both files.

It looks like either you have too less graphics memory budget and the textures get screwed up due to lack of space and or your final downscale is just way too low

nice - ok try first:

1) backup you user.settings
2) change user.settings:
remove all lines containing:
TextureDownscale
DetailTextureDownscale
AtlasTextureDownscale

additionally you can also try to change TextureMemoryBudget to a higher setting like 500
but i cant tell for sure as i dont know your GPU/APU how much VRAM you have at hand?

in any case DO NOT touch the rendering.ini

CPU : Intel i3 @ 2.13GHz
GPU : AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series (I think it's 5450), 2737 MB
RAM : 4 Go

Deleted all lines you told me to. But, if I change TextureMemoryBudget to 500, won't my pc heat more than it does when I play tw3 ?
if you set your memory budget too low there isnt enough space for the textures, if you set the textures too low they will look akward ... try to play with the values . you wont break your pc by increasing TextureMemoryBudget it should be more than 200

you have set MaxTextureSize=1024 --- means its half the original resolution combined with the downscale you end up with 512 and thats really low for 2016

whatever you do try step by step

but in first place try higher TextureMemoryBudget ... start with 300 and increase in 50 steps - you don not need more than 500
It didn't work, I still have the blue textures.
uups i really thought you mean the low resolution - as you backed up yout user.settings - get it to its original state
guess this blue tint is visible for everyone but its more obvious on low resolution textures. but over at nexus is a mod that might help you http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1536/? - good day ^^ and sorry - at least you know what to tweak in order to get rid of the eye tearing low res textures
Well, thank you for your help, that's really nice of you ^^
About the eye tearing low res textures, personally, it doesn't bother me. Honestly, it's amazing (to me) that my pc can handle the game at this resolution ! xD (and I find them really good looking for low res textures =p)

EDIT : The mod fixed my problem. Thank you, mate !
