Excluding bugs and stuttering....Great game, but...
why You missed up the combat system, character movements and Collisions?
A total lack of appropriate feedback following the shots in the combat system, The management of the movements of Geralt is sketched, woody and often impractical and, IMHO get just nervous, as it is difficult to control, with a delay of the walk and / or run really strange. Often Geralt clumsily slams to right and left and sometimes gets stuck in the first fence, tree or stairs. On turn around on itself, he makes a perfect "military U-turn" and the forward movement has a kind of tedious unpleasant and unnatural final hopping, that you can not even stop easily wherever you want. Swimming and diving controls are among the worst ever seen.
The horse-even if aesthetically flawless - often it seems a mule who does as he pleases and if called, often just not comes ! ...Better to walk!
I also believe a manageable FOV would be really appreciated!

In the end, all this, although quite manageable, but...simply becomes dull!

I would not expect to find these flaws in a game of this "grandeur"
IMHO.

They just decided to give the horses some personality. It's a feature! :P

Gotta agree with the OP on that one.
Often when going through a swamp, the horse tries to turn TOWARDS those gas pockets that kill you.
When going somewhere, it also tries to turn 90 degrees to either side away from it.

Only rarely does it actually go where I want it to, without a road rail-way... which btw are awsome!

Also, when going over ANY bridge that has upright sides, instead of being completely flat, the horse stops, neighs and rears up as if it's hit somtehing, unless in the exact center of the bridge.
That's quite irritating during races when I was no where near hitting it. :-(

Like I said, they just made the horses more realistic. They have a mind of their own, and sometimes they do silly things they're not supposed to do. And then they end up as horse sausage. :P

On a more serious note, I agree that some of the controls need fine tuning, but for the most they seem to work quite well.

Ok for the "Horse with the great soul" :-) ...I can just walk, or run!

But hope they do something with the "Geralt's nevrotic soul" too, with a better movements tuning!
And fix freeze and bugs too!

Just wondering, do you guys play with keyboard? Because controls seem fine with a gamepad, at least once you get used to how Geralt and Roach move, as well as the combat timing etc.

As for the freezes, I got those sometimes, but none so far after the recent patches. I heard they fixed most of those issues ( or at least tried to ). The worst bugs I encounter are usually just silly visual glitches, mesh clipping, occasional texture flickering etc. I think I didn't run into any broken quests or anything like that.
I play with a keyboard and mouse but tbh I haven't really had much trouble with these control issues either. Geralt goes where I want him to when I want him to and so does Roach, granted neither stop on a dime but anyone who expects them to should go outside, run at full speed and then try and stop dead.

I guarantee you'll fall flat on your face. when you hit CTRL(keyboard) to toggle the slow walk geralt will certainly be more responsive. To me this is the physics of a human body.

I also haven't had any real issues with swimming controls. Maybe I'm less picky than other people or I've got a magic touch that others don't. I send him down, he goes down, up and he goes up, turn him around and he'll do a hugely disorientating barrel roll that the camera sometimes struggles to keep up with.

The only real control issues I have came post patch 1.05 when c key to dive occasionally stops working with swimming and x to summon roach while on dry land. Both solved by doing a quicksave and then reload that save.
Good for U guys!

From the beginning I Still have Stuttering, freezes, and lack of control.
Maybe, added to the rest ...clumsy movements, lack of feedback in combat, make the game -for me- just not really fluid and irritating, or more simply ...not very playable.
I tried (overclock and stock value, on my gtx970, also for CPU, i5 3570k, Different drivers, different game settings , and a mix of these combination) with no results! ...Just a time waste.
I really do not have a magic wand to solve these problems, so The only thing I can do is just hope for a patch or new driver ...And by reading in various forums ... I am not the only one!

Like I said ..I would not expect to find these flaws.... and ...It's a pity!
