Installed their launcher to download and install Witcher 3.
Gets stuck on 99.9% and ends up with me having to redownload it entirely.
Fk the client i'll download it from their site directly.
Downloaded all Files > start install > P2. and P3. of the files are broken, Please redownload.

Nice going, guess i have to download from 3rd party sources.

Never getting anything at GoG ever again.

I've never had any issues downloading from GOG, and I've been here a long time and have a lot of titles. I haven't used GOG Galaxy, but I use the downloader regularly.

When I'm downloading large games with the downloader, the download meter will get to 100% and seem to get stuck there for a while. Hard drive activity is very high at this point. I believe the downloader is verifying all the pieces and putting the files together. It does finish, and everything is good. It may be a similar thing you are experiencing with the launcher.

Also, before saying GOG is trash, please know they have a very good reputation for support.

Sounds like a problem of just having no patience nor trying to get help and just wanting to rant.

I have some issues with GOG Galaxy which broke some game files in the download process, you should use the old Download instead and install the game manually...

Nope GOG is bad they should have pre pared for the withcer downloads they knew how many people had it
People should always use the manual downloader at present while galaxy is in beta. Manual downloads never have issues :)
First time I have used GOG normally use either steam, uplay or origin. Installed Galaxy didnt preinstall the game downloaded it this morning on release. Came down without any problem's and have been playing it for a good six hours without any crashes. Maybe Ive been lucky (touch wood) but so far so good.
thanx for the breaking news about beta optionnal client being crap... as if we didnt know (key words in my last sentence are BETA, and OPTIONAL)

anyway how do you explain that many gog users are playing the game just fine by now instead of whining ?

of course, aside from the game launch by itself, gog made a clear stupid move trying to force the introduction of their beta client and new website design to match the date of release of their long awaited game.

but if you take the game itself individually, it is just downloadable and installable fine as any other game from your gog library.

i stayed out of the mess called galaxy, and just downloaded my installer, ran it and then could play the game... as i always did with gog stuff.

compared to, lets say steam, that wanna update itself (the client) nearly every day or every week before launching a solo game without online function for example, it is clearly no pain.

but if you are such masochistic as keep compl:aining at something obviously broken yet refusing to ever consider using the good old fashionned method that works (manual download and install...), well enjoy your time on the forum, or back on any steam/uplay/origins (or combination of two layers of them) instead.

jesus ! people nowadays all behave like little spoiled brats of some sort for the slightest reason... tomorrow they will bitch aloud against the trouser manufacturer because the zipper doesnt unzip itself when they go to pee !
i am the first to savagely RANT here against gog mistakes and issues.. but lets be fair and not badmouthing gog for whatever they still (yet ?) keep doing fine !
