Just finished up the game. The only sidequests left unfinished, after the main story was completed, were for Gwent and horse racing.

Do any new contracts, or any other quests become available after this point? Or am I just meant to clean up whatever is left over, wait for DLC, or start anew?

I don't believe there is anything new. Just stuff you may have overlooked potentially.

Yeah, finding a few local area quests by wandering around, but it was a good enough game I have that "post-game sadness" that comes with wanting more. ;) Glad there will be DLC to look foward to.

You may have some random encounter quests to find. If the last DLC (#16) won't have any new missions, that's pretty much all, until expansions will be released (you'll have to buy them).
