Is it just me or is link for manual download part 5 of 7 broken?

I tried to download 3 times, but it always downloads part 4 instead of part 5.

Part 7 of 7 doesn't work either. It points to part 6 instead.

You could try out if you get the right files by using GOG Downloader (https://www.gog.com/downloader). Downloadlinks can be found behind the "more" button.

Well, there are no parts available for Downloader, only one huge 22 GB file.

But that's my only chance now probably, because Galaxy is buggy mess and manual links seems to be broken.

This game is cursed :)

Downloader just crashed at 30%... and after restarting it started again from 0%.

I give up. I'm going to play something else.

Ok, finally everything downloaded, trying to install - bam!

Installation failed with code -3: Checksum Error

Maybe I'm too spoiled from Steam, but FFS... TW3 installation is fucking nightmare!!!

A checksum error is a corrupt download. It seems you have a problem your end, since you've already had the downloader crash on you. This isn't a Witcher problem nor a GOG problem. It's a problem you need to sort out on your end.

Solution

File corruption happens randomly when connection issues (even slight ones) occur during a file transfer. This can happen when you download files manually through a browser, as browsers typically offer limited, or no error protection.

We strongly advise using GOG Galaxy - our new application which makes downloading and installing games as convenient as possible.
Besides being very user-convenient, and keeping your games up to date, it offers the fastest download speeds possible, pausing/resuming, and - most importantly - thorough protection against file corruption while downloading.
Just click on "TRY GALAXY", then "DOWNLOAD BETA" and install it on your system. Afterwards, just launch it, log in, and you can install games directly from your Library section.
Once there, you've got two options:
1) INSTALL - this will download a game's files and install it, as well as add it to Galaxy's list,
2) MORE -> DOWNLOAD EXTRAS - this will allow you to download the classic installer files, but through GOG Galaxy, with all its anti-corruption benefits.

Alternatively, you can use our legacy application - the GOG Downloader. You can get it here:

After the Downloader is installed, you can start a download by finding the game in your Library, and selecting the appropriate option from MORE -> GOG DOWNLOADER LINKS.

Yes, originally I started with Galaxy and everything was fine, I've been playing TW3 w/o any problems. Until 1.07 arrived. Then Galaxy went crazy... after many failed attempts to run game again, I eventually uninstalled Galaxy.

I've tried downloader too, but it kept crashing for some reason.

So I downloaded everything manually and hopefully (after 2 days of madness) will be able to play the game again soon :)

Btw, you were right, one of the files was corrupted (weird), re-downloading it again.

Now question:

Should I install the 1.08.3 patch first and then all DLCs? Or DLCs first and then patch?

Yes patch first because some of the newer DLCs need patch 1.07 or higher.
