They said it's going to be New Game +, but they also said that they need some time.

Regarding NG+, their favorite word is "soon" but they have a very different conception of what that word means.

At least it's not VALVe time.

Soon is relative. The sun will be going supernova "soon", in relation to the Universe's age, would likely be a few minutes.
In CDPR time, "soon" is a gerbil stuffed in a nut can which is set to go off explosively 2 seconds after blue temper hits peak Kilimanjaro.
Translated, a couple of weeks.
These things do unfortunately take time, and as has been pointed out will likely come out before Half Life Episode 3. Of course, it does not help their cause with everyone kicking and screaming they want it now, and then kick and scream when fixes are rushed out the door with glitches and everyone is kicking and screaming again with all new reasons to kick and scream.

I am curious as to what NG+ entails; I have seen their vague description and from that does not seem to add much. I assume tougher enemies, but wonder if armor and weapons will scale as well? Do you start the game with all your items and weapons/armor, or do you have to complete all the Witcher equipment quests again? Too many unanswered questions ...

all of those questions have been answered on the cdpr forum.

Yeah, took a look on their forums and searched, all that came up were thousands of posts of speculation and replies scattered across the stratosphere. I don't feel like scouring through the threads for several hours just to answer some questions that could have been posted by CDPR in a sticky.
Unless of course I missed it, and you have a link.? That would be a lot more helpful that saying they simply have answered them. Thanks!

sorry dont have a link becuase as you said theres a lot of threads with speculation but in the threads i read one of the cdpr team, guy called marcin something, answered a lot of the questions about what carries over etc.

New Game + I see more as a 'feature'. I'd expect to see this addition by way of a patch.

DLC stands for DownLoadable Content. I believe the first 15 pieces of DLC were all content additions. Quests, armors, weapons, etc....

I could be wrong. This is just the way I typically view it.

I would have liked to see a sweet new quest. I was actually kind of expecting to see the free DLC flood go out with a bang with a rocking new large, fully voiced/cutscened quest as DLC 16.

Not complaining at all, don't get me wrong, CDPR has been way more than generous with this game and I'm appreciative. New Game + just isn't what I was expecting as DLC 16.

I was hoping for the REDKit software as the 16th DLC.

I'd love to see that as well. Not because I'd use it as I lack the skills, but because I'd love to see mods start rolling.

Having said that, the REDkit is a utility, not content. Once again, I wouldn't expect to see it released under the DLC header.
