If we already own the witcher 3, do we get a discount when we get the GOTY edition?

GOTY = base game + season pass.
If you just have the base game you just have to buy the season pass.

If you just have the base game you just have to buy the season pass.
And it will cost significantly more than GOTY

Day-one buyers usually end up losers. Those who wait......win.
I'd like to know too. I preordered Witcher 3 in 2014 at $47.99, the Season pass sells for $24.99 (so the "upgrade" to the GOTY would cost me a total of $72.98), and the GOTY bundle is being sold for $49.99. Leaves a bitter taste to my mouth.
I'd find it nice if people who have the base game and season pass get the GOTY added to their library.

After all, it's the same game, the same DLCs, the same extra goodies included or am I mistaken?

And it would give us a single unified installer.
So we basically get jipped. Should have never bought that when it first came out at what 60 or w/e.
All this bitching about price from new vs GOTY. The game has been out for over a year. How many pizzas, beers, petrol or other luxuries have you forked out for since the release of this game? Honestly, some people are just never happy.

I fail to understand connecton between price of the game and my spendings on different staff?

When I choose to preorder a game to support it and as a thanks I get charged half its price for expansions than if I had waited for prices to drop, you can, honestly, be damn sure I'm not happy.

My point is that people complain like hell about having paid more for the game and its DLC, as it came out, than it costs to buy the GOTY a year later, yet they don't bat an eyelid about spending oodles of money on meaningless junk food and stuff like that. It's complaining for the sake of complaining.

Well i guess because junk food, though being junk food, actually serves a purpose. Filling an empty stomach, therefore can be called a 'Need'. Unlike video games which are only a leisurely activity, and customers always want better deals on such products. Like how it is in supermarkets and shopping malls
