Price differences aside, there's another aspect to it. I would personally prefer to have the game and all its DLCs as a single package. to have a single entry in GOG Galaxy.. If I understand correctly., the only way to achieve this right now is to buy a second copy of the game. It would be nice to be able to upgrade the base game to GOTY edition, even if it costs $25.

No. If i understeand correctly main discussion there will be unified installer as a single package for all, some time later. (1-2 weeks?)

Marginal0: Too bad we're missing out on all the GUI and gfx changes. I thought I did a good thing by purchasing it day1 (incl. expansions) and supporting the developers, but I kinda feel like an idiot now given I still haven't found the time to play it. This will be the last time I buy a game from day1. But then again: I already made that commitment after Arkham Knight. :-D

At least Divinity:Original Sin has the sense to reward loyalty and offer the upgrades for free. I backed it years ago on kickstarter and only just started playing the Enhanced Edition. I might end up buying OS2 immediately.

I don't mean to be sour, though. The people that bought the game upon released and enjoyed it so far have gotten their money's worth. And I'm confident I'll get my money's worth too once I finally play it :p.
Your are not missing out on any changes. The UI changes etc. are already in the game if you've been updating.

KSM: Sorry if i sound rude, english is not may native language.
But i still can't understand connection between price of the game and other personal spendings so i asked a question.

Hickory: My point is that people complain like hell about having paid more for the game and its DLC, as it came out, than it costs to buy the GOTY a year later, yet they don't bat an eyelid about spending oodles of money on meaningless junk food and stuff like that. It's complaining for the sake of complaining.
They are not complaining about that they have paid more for TW3 + SeasonPass than it would cost now to buy GOTY...
Its about GoG offering to buy the GOTY to people who already own TW3 + SeasonPass instead of creating a new final installer and while doing so them are pestering those who pre-ordered TWE3 + SeasonPass via E-Mail to buy the new GOTY, even if all the Stuff the GOTY offers is already in the library...

I can understand that I got an advertising Mail from CDPR because I signed up but from Gog who are well aware that the Stuff the Goty offers is already in my lib....

Thats just rude and you do know that or ye are trolling...

Right, another teary-eyed, moronic "I don't agree with you so you must be trolling". Get a clue.

Yes right we all are teary-eyed and moronic in contrary to you 'ol being of perfect and awesome...

As I stated in the other thread about the latest patch installer bug I do have my time and surely I won't buy the Goty instead I create my own installer once GoG/CDPR stop patching 100GB Blu-Ray FTW!

But someone just mentioned that GOTY = TW3 + SeasonPass. Why complain if there's no difference at all?

Is this just about the installer? :p

I pre-ordered this game back in June of 2014, and bought the expansions when they were released.

While I do not expect to receive the 'Game of the Year' edition for free, it would have been a nice gesture on behalf of CD Projekt to give it away free to those who own the game + dlc. Afterall, there have been a number of developers/publishers who have provided their deluxe, remastered, game of the year, etc versions of games to those who own the items that make up the new version.
With the current sale, I took another look at the relative prices for the Witcher 3 DLC (or Expansion Pass) and the GOTY for people who currently only have the base game.

Witcher 3: $19.99
HoS DLC: $7.49
B&W DLC: $14.99
TOTAL: $42.47

Expansion Pass: $24.99
TOTAL w/ Expansion Pass: $44.98

GOTY Edition: $29.99

For anyone who has just the base game, there seem to be no good options, especially during sales. this has nothing to do with how much I paid for the game when it launched. It does not matter if that price was more than all the possible totals above. It only matters that the discrepancy in pricing now seems wrong.

If there were a way to upgrade to the GOTY for ~$15 during the sale (40% off the Expansion Pass), I'd jump on it. As it stands, though, I have a hard time looking at the numbers and seeing where it makes sense.

Totally agree with the above.

Heard of GoG sales, and logged in immediately to see if I can eventually get a sweet deal on the expansions. Nope. The pricing as it is right now is totally absurd. I mean I have the original game, and the best price I can get now for the expansions is 7.5+15 = 22.5$, so that means that when selling GOTY CDPR costs the base game 7.5$??

Even the fact that both expansions get a price cut, but not the expansion pass is absurd. Seriously, why is it still in the store??? it is not a viable option for anyone, not for newcomers, not for owners of the base game, not for anyone.

When there are no sales, it makes slightly more sense. But even then, it is $30 for the individual DLC compared to $25 for the Pass.

As I said in the post a few days back, if the Pass went on sale for $15 it would have been in my cart already.
