I downloaded all the files 1 through 7 including the patch 1 through 2 , I installed the game then ran the patch. everything completed just fine. however game wont run when you click the shortcut or the exe file to start the game simply has a black screen then says error oc cured program stopped . this is the last damn time i buy anything from Gamestop. Steam has all this crap figured out and can apparently do this with bare minimum fuss I just want the damn game to work

RAM 12gb
system 64-bit os WIN 10 Pro
Graphics card
EVGA GeForce GTX 285 1024mb GDDR3
have downloaded the GOG galaxy and still have same issue
click play and get a black screen for a split second then then popup message saying that there is an issue and windows is closing the program
I have tried all the tricks posted in the FAQ
