Installed the game yesterday, it worked fine. Registered with GoG. Today, went to GoG to check things out and my desktop start icon disappeared. The instructions say only use that icon to start the game. Tried starting the game from the Windows Start Menu and that entry disappeared! I can still start it with the GoG shortcut or GoG Start Menu entry. I also found the .exe file in the GoG installation folder and made a shortcut from that, which works but bypasses the GoG screen. Am I going to foul things up without that original desktop icon?

No,it wont hurt.But something is making your icons disappear,it is windows7?

Yes, I'm using Win 7 Pro. Never had icons disappear before. The shortcut I made with Windows, from the .exe file, hasn't disappeared.

Windows 7 can be a pain sometimes with icons disappearing,I suggest you have
a look for an icon tweaker if the problem persists.
See how it goes before tweaking.
