lol I just made a post about this, didnt happen till about 16 hours into the game but now happens every hour or so. Getting fustrating cause I cant task manager crash it, i have to restart my friggin computer
Happens to me as well. The amount of time between crashes seems completely random too - just had the game stop responding like this three times in an hour.

Sitting on WIn 7 64-bit, with an AMD Radeon HD 7950, 12 gigs of RAM, and a Core i5 2.67GHz.

Happens to me as well. Game runs smooth but if i switch to the inventory screen it is like gambling. Will it crash or not...

Please fix this.

In 12 or so hours of total gameplay I have had this bug trigger 3 times as well. Once on the Bestiary screen and twice on the Inventory screen. It just seems completely random though. I've went into those screens dozens of times and only had lockup 3 times. I don't see any pattern to it. Game must have a weird race condition or something going on.

I get this freeze if I spend more than a minute or 2 in the inventory screen... Just freezes up completely but music still playing even tho the games unresponsive. Has me saving the game every 5mins which is really annoying as I just want to play the game! It's so good so far and bugs like this are really spoiling the experience

Same here.
Same issue here although I am also getting lock ups in cut scenes, audio keeps going, games just locks up.

Haven't managed to play for more than 20 minutes without a lock up. I have not made it past the first horse ride after the castle, which crashed constantly also, it just lasted long enough for it to save that one time.

Not even slightly playable.

Same here. Every 30 to 90 minutes. GTX 980, Intel 4690. Nothing OCed. New machine. Another great game marred by serious issues. Yeesh.
same here- in the inventory screen it freezes randomly

GTX970
No idea how many hours I played, but yesterday I had that freeze after almost a day of game left running (both maximized and minimized), today got it after like an hour. Seems totally random. I'm pretty sure hardware is irrelevant.
I don't know if that's a possible solution.. I've been playing the entire morning with this freeze/crashes problems, related to inventory / character's menu.

I finally managed to play the whole afternoon silky smooth without problems:

I was playing on ultra + gameworks (and some configuration file tweaks), everything maxed out, but vsynced to 30fps max.

I switched foliage to high and fps cap to 60fps, and the problem didn't occurred again.

Maybe the 30fps limit is the problem?

I'm playing on a Gigabyte GTX 970 stock.
16GB Ram, i5 4670k, on SSD.
Windows 8.1 Pro, 64bit.

Latest NVidia Drivers.

same here.
i always scare to open my inventory...
Rebooted last night before playing, and played without problems. Great.

Today, was playing without problems, hovered over a journeyman weapon repair kit and the mouse stopped moving. Stuck again. There goes some progress. :(

I will attempt to turn off Sticky Keys in windows Ease of Access Center. maybe it helps?
If you are freezing in the inventory, turn off controller vibration.

I use keyboard and mouse only, but I saw this mentioned, and after turning it off I played for 6 hours without a crash.
