I had the exact same problem (which is what brought me to this site, as I hoped to find a solution).

I had the diary (and read it), I had the bracelet, and I had brought the body up from the well, but I couldn't summon the noonwraith no matter what I tried.

I meditated until noon and had a short fight with the wraith (it disappeared pretty quickly into the battle). Then I noticed my quest changed slightly and encouraged me to read about the noonwraith in the bestiary. Once I did that, I was able to summon the monster and finish the quest.

I don't know if meditating until noon and facing the noonwraith the first time had anything to do with it, but I know that you won't be able to continue until you open the bestiary and read the entry on this monster.

This quest I didn't think I would be able to complete since I didn't do it in the correct order. I had the quest, but i never talked to the board poster about it. I just found this town and proceeded to loot everything not nailed down and then I noticed a wraith just wandering around outside around the well.

I attacked it and it disappeared and then I proceeded to use my witcher senses to examine everything around me, eventually jumping into the well and finding the bracelet and then exiting via the lake. At this time I must of had a book/note about wraiths that I needed to read, so I read the bestiary on these creatures adding another green tick.

I still hadn't actually talked about the quest so I had a whole lot of green ticks before talking to the quest giver...whoops this was when it finally dawned on me that I might of broken it.

However after talking to him, I was able to then examine the skeleton in one of the houses and follow the blood trail to the well and lift the body out. During the cutscene it acted correctly and since I already had the bracelet, it placed it with the body correctly.

In the end I somehow managed to complete the quest without completing all the objectives...so I thought the quest system was decently robust based on this.

But the critical difference is that I had already taken the billboard notice before coming across the town. Generally I think if this happens the game should either grant you the quest automatically, or make all key quest items untouchable until the quest has been given.

I have bug on this quest .... when I try swim out to the surface... game crashes :P

Probably will have to restart the game due to this quest being bugged as well.

Don't exactly recall whether I had the quest or not, but I went through the Abandoned Village before talking to the quest NPC peasant. Now I'm stuck on "find the spirit that haunts the well"... and never have seen it. Not at Noon, not after reading the bestiary, not after casting Igni on the corpse pulled out of the well (hey, why not...).

Ugh.

Edit: Rested until 12PM. Nothing happened, went back to the main village. Came back, rested until 12. Nothing happened. Clicked on all the quest items (book, bracelet), went back to the main village. Tried to talk to the NPC peasant. Came back, rested until 12. Wraith appeared. Jubilations.

Seems like the best bet is to try to fire off the triggers one way or another.

Edit2: Guess I celebrated too soon. Now stuck on "Find evidence of the spirit's presence using your Witcher senses." Can interact with neither the burned dog nor grass (and yes, I'm using "Witcher senses"). The NEXT step, which apparently is "read the bestiary entry" or whatnot, already shows as completed, too.

Plowing annoyance, to say the least. Options are either ignore quest completion (forsooth!), or restart the game.. not like I have lots of time to play, either. Bah.

ALRIGHT GUYS!!! I just figured it out!!! What you need to do is inspect the monsters weaknesses and click on the spells it tells you to use as well as the potions it tells you to use against this MOB. This will give you a tick mark on your quest and you should be able to burn the body. In Bestiary and click on devil by the well and noonwraiths. Click on all spells and pots etc... Hope this helps!!!

Hey, just to let you know that after I meditated untill NOON it appeared. Then I could read about it on bestiary and finish the quest!
