I seem to be the only one on the internet having this issue. I picked up this Contract and talked to the NPC to initiate it. I then headed to the abandoned village and Geralt said something about the famous well and how 'maybe the ghost only appears at a certain time of day?' I got there around 1 PM in the daytime.

My quest then proceeded as follows :

Used Witcher Sense to examine the burnt grass.
Used Witcher Sense to locate the body and pulled it up from the well. He said the left arm was fallen off and probably contained something heavy.
Jumped into the well and used Witcher Sense to locate the bracelet.
Swam out of the well and ran back to the village.
Used Witcher Sense to locate the journal.
Read the journal.

Now I'm stuck. Nothing is happening so I go look up youtube videos of the quest and some guides. The first thing I noticed was that in the video I watched, the noonwraith spawned at around 3PM. So I waited for 3PM. Still no noonwraith.

Then I read a walkthrough and the burnt animal body is supposed to be examinable, but I cannot examine it. The guide also says that you may have to fast travel to get the noonwraith to spawn. This didn't work any of the multiple times I tried it. I tried warping straight back to the village and I've tried riding the horse back to the village. I've tried returning at multiple times of day, this wraith will still not spawn. What gives?

Enter the house and examine the skeleton

Maybe, i'll give that a shot when I'm done in FF14 in a bit. I don't think I've examined the skeleton since picking up the arm/bracelet. That's another one of my problems, i've checked all the houses and there are no examinable skeletons

How odd, I seemed to have done it in a different order, compared to you.
Here's how I got around to it:
I got there, examined the burned grass.
Found the Journal in a house.
Found the animal.
Everything suggested that it was a noonwraith.
Had to find something that was keeping the spirit there.
Found the skeleton.
Followed the tracks.
Found the body in the well.
Went down the well and got the bracelet.
Got out of the well.
Prepared, burned the corpse and voila, you have a noonwraith.

How you found the body in the well before finding the skeleton is odd. The tracks are supposed to guide you to that conclusion.

Well I jumped down into the well before finding the body, thinking I had to go down there first. Geralt noticed the body and said 'Can't reach that from down here' so I swam out of the well and ran back and he pulled the body out


Just tried examining the lady's skeleton and he mentioned her arm must have fallen off cuz of her husband's bracelet. Still nothing else to examine

There are 2 big time skeletons in the house where you find the journal. You also have to read the journal from your inventory btw.

Have you tried to reposition yourself around animal? Sometimes "Interact" requires odd precision, which is difficult to obtain (had problems focusing on rope in this very quest).
Also, if you read the journal, and have bracelet and skeleton you should be able to incinerate the latter, which should summon wraith.

I have the same issue/bug as well. Has anyone found a fix or gotten past this? The body with knife which leads to tracks isn't examinable and it still says "Look for clues for the wraith".

I think you can't examine the body before you know it's a noonwraith. Have you tried examining: the grass, the animal and the journal? You probably have to read the journal in your inventory.

I found the dead body in the house
Found/read the journal
Followed the blood trail
Found the skelly
Jumped into the well
Found the bracelet
torched the skelly
killed the wraith.

Didn't find any animals

Um, NOONwraiths spawn at...noon. Just saying.

It doesn't have any bearing on the contract though, as after you have the bracelet and journal, you're supposed to be able to burn the body, bringing forth the wraith at any time of day.

Same bug here , though I can't recall the order in wich I cleared some of the steps, I must have missed some and now it's locked.

- bones with knife not examinable
- animal not examinable
- blood stain not examinable
- burnt grass neither
- Bracelet and journal are in my inventory
- Ms Skelington is out of the well
- the ghost hasn't spawned once

Quest journal tells me to "find evidence that the ghost exists using witcher sense".
The whole area is empty of anything interactable except plants.

Welp, guess I have to proceed to the next zone, completionist me is a bit frustrated.

Try different approach, angle, order. I've been replaying this mission again, problem with precise positioning still there. I suggest starting with burned grass, then animal, then scout houses, find one with male skeleton, check blood trail near exit (this will start cutscene that will show you the post, to which rope is tied), then it would be a bit easier to focus on it.

Add me to the list of bug-sufferers. The aforementioned symptoms: No wraith, can't burn the body (examination repeats the initial lines and no others), can't examine the knifed body OR the animal, no tracks or other interactables in Witcher Sense

My order:

1. Found the well from the LAKE
2. Swam through, looted (chest in the first chamber from the lake)
3. Left the way I came, THEN discovered the town
4. Looted (because of course), INCLUDING THE JOURNAL
5. Entered the White Orchard hub for the FIRST TIME
6. Grabbed billboard notes
7. THEN STARTED QUEST

I think this is my problem. I may have also examined the stabbed body and the animal during my first visit, again before I'd started the quest.

Did anyone else find the town before they started the quest? Maybe that could be the root of the cause. I'd like to see any other info if anyone has anything to add
