When attempting to install the Alternative Look for Ciri DLC I get the error:
"! This version of the base game is not supported.
Please update your game version with the latest patch."

I've gotten this same error when trying to install on both v1.6 and v1.7 (w/ fresh game install)

Did you manage to patch the game? You need 1.07 to get Ciri into wearing new clothes....which are kind of sucky to be honest...chain wannabe armor with belly outside :|

Yea, well, kinda...
My patch goes all "not responding" towards the end and I have to kill the process.
The game version in the menu says 1.7 though.
When I try to re-install the patch I get another error saying "This patch does not support your version of the game please download a new installer."

Let it brew in the background and do not cancel the process. Re-patch the game and let it finish even if it freezes. Happened the same to me. You just need a bit more patience. Then it will work like a charm :)

I did what that other guy did too, and now it says i have the wrong version for the ciri DLC, the patch for 1.07 now says "this patch does not support your version of the game, please download a new installer"

any idea?

Even though I have the game installed on a SSD with Haswell-E on 4GHz I also got the non responding behavior during installation. It just means the installation process was so busy doing its thing (unpacking modified files, patching existing ones) that it didn't respond when windows asks, whether everything still is ok - it still was heavily working! If you killed the process you clearly are somewhere between one of the previous versions and 1.07 - Ciri DLC needs 1.07 which you obviously don't have reached and 1.07 update expects one of the previous versions which you also don't have anymore (partially modified files don't match the expected checksums). Solution? Complete reinstall and a lot of patience since you CAN'T KILL the installation process and expect healthy results.

Good news!
So I uninstalled everything once again...
Installed 1.6, installed the 13 DLC.
This time I brought up task manager first just to watch.
The patch went "not responding" earlier in the install process but I waited even longer than before.
Patch installed successfully!
Ciri DLC also installed properly!

Never in my many years of installing/patching games have I seen a process go not responding and still work.
Go figure...
Thanks for all the joined in on the issue!

Is there a way to uninstall and then re-install just the 1.07 patch or do I have to do that to the whole game? Because when I try to launch the patch updater is says that I need to download a new installer
