Galaxy client keeps disconnecting any time I try to manually update to 1.07(auto update isn't even detecting it.)Then tried to go and download directly from the site as suggested on the forums but it says "coming soon" next to the download and clicking on it just downloads a blank file titled "a." Thats when I am able to actually reach the page without running into a 500 error.

I realize the servers are probably exploding right now but it's incredibly frustrating to have the patch teased for 2 weeks and then be unable to download it despite multiple sources saying it's live.

I know your pain^^
I have exactly the same thing happening - Galaxy keeps logging me out and saying that I am not authorised.
I have circumvented this though by manually downloading the patch off the GOG main website. Now when I run the game it says that I am running version 1.07 and I can access all of the new content despite Galaxy refusing to update...

Go to your downloads folder and try it from there. I was getting that when I tried to install from my Firefox downloads tab.

I just went to my account page then downloaded both parts of the patch. Thinking about it, I did use the witcher3.exe from the install location when desktop shortcut didn't seem to be responding (I presumed that was because of the constant disconnects with Galaxy). So perhaps try that?
I think a lot of people are trying to download at this time. I heared that many have problems with it.
My download vor example is very slow. I have 0,8 from 2,0 and I'm downlading for one hour.
Same issue here, plus my Galaxy keeps disconnecting over and over. Hopefully the server is just loaded.
I imagine the problem relates to the fact that it's Saturday not a work day when the patch was released.

On a regular work day they release patches at, what 1700 Warsaw time? Most people get off work at 1700 or so their time, so the download stress is staggered by time zone as everyone gets home and downloads the patch at 1700 - 1800 their time zone.

But since it's Saturday, most people are off work. Just about everyone in the world is trying to download it at the same time and Galaxy cannot handle it. Steam can, but that doesn't surprise me, steam is a more established, robust, system.

Oops.
I've just managed to install it manually. Go to gog.com and log in, then go to "The Witcher 3" and download the 2 files. After downloading, you should be able to install it by using the exe file.

Greets

PS: Now I can put foliage to High and HBAO+ with only a 2-3 fps drop!!! before I had like 10fps less when having these enabled. Thanks CDProject! ;D

Here's what I did:

On Gog Galaxy go to More > Configure > change Auto-Updating to manual, and under Roll Back select 1.07.

It is currently updating.

As a side note I 1st tried to manually downloaded the patches pt1 and pt2 from the GOG main site, but I received an error about disk space (my primary SSD is full and Run the games from large 2TB hard drive.)

I also tried to download from 'Get backups and extras' as well to no avail.

EDIT: I can confirm this worked for me.
