Please help bought this game 2 days ago and still have yet to play it, contacted customer support, no reply back yet.

I cannot get the game to play in full screen mode at all, set it to that option nothing changes. Cant play windowed version either because it lags terribly.

Any fixes to this?

Edit the user settings file in yout witcher 3 folder in your documents. Open with notepad and look for fullscreenmode and set it to 2

Should be in full screen now.

Make sure file isnt read only cuz the game might not save settings then.

Do you have any third party program like Geforce Experience or Playing Evolved installed?

I have GeForce experience installed

Open the Geforce Experience click on the Witcher 3 in the panel on the left side of the screen, you should see a spanner icon click on the spanner & set the resolution to match your screen resolution & set Display mode to Full-screen.

Start the Witcher 3 & in the options select Graphics then select Video & you will see Maximum frames per second, change the frames per second from Uncapped to 60.

these fixes might not work for you but have sorted the problem for others so are at least worth a try, if you don't fix the problem then try reinstalling the graphic card drivers & reinstalling the game

never mind just crashed and wont run again without reinstalling. but I used both suggestions and it got me at least 5 mins of playing time, I think im just going to go with a refund and get a different game and stick with the witcher on console

Just exclude TW3 from your list of optimized games in GE, start the game, set it to fullscreen, and that's you.

Everyone when I went into my GeoForce and optimized my settings the game
video was reset and worked brilliantly.
