I've been trying to use all of the keys I can think of to take a screenshot, but I don't seem to know the key combination (or if there even is one on GoG). Help, please?

Haven't found one either. It appears that after years of development, being able to take screenshots using in-game controls wasn't included . . .. Ha!

It feels so ridiculous to not be able to through the game client, right? I'm hoping I can key bind something through EVGA Precision. I read that somewhere, so I'm going to try it.
Well, there is a screenshots folder found here C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin, so there must be a way to make it happen. . .

Thanks for the tip. I also use Precision, and it does have a setting for that in General. I set it to be F12. We'll see if it works when I next get in game tomorrow.

Oh, nice find! I hope there's a way...it's odd that a feature like that wouldn't be included.

Thanks!

No problem! Have fun! I played last night and it's amazing...I love it.

Well, that didn't work with Precision for me. No screenies in the folder I designated in Precision. In point of fact, the keybinding I used (F11) caused my game to crash as soon as I loaded a save game. Whatever config my system + W3 wants, they do NOT like things interfering with their control; Steam's overlay is a no no on my machine with W3. Precision probably asserts control, which my W3 doesn't like, and I had to restart the machine.

Either an in-game key or bust (for me) I guess.
I found if you add this as a non steam game to steam (find the games .exe file in the Witcher 3/bin/x64 folder) you can use Steam overlay (F12) to take screenshots... BUT... GoG doesn't record any gameplay when played through Steam (my GoG still says I've only played 2hrs of Witcher 3 when I'm near on 5hrs in) and if that's the case I'm guessing any achievements/trophies won't be recorded either... If that kind of thing bothers you?

Doesn't bother me as I have some nice screens instead ;)

You can use Fraps as a workaround, or as already mentioned the Steam client.

Haven't checked it, yet, but I'd guess Fraps doesn't interfere.

That's a pretty good idea. Cheers! It does bother me a little bit that I won't have game progression and achievement tracked on GoG, but whatevs. Thanks!

I'm thinking Fraps might be the best option when it comes to screenshotting and not losing game progression/achievements tracking on GoG. Good deal, thanks!

I think... this situation is crazy. The Witcher 3 not save screenshots ? Ridicolous, incredible... i have to use external software to save screenshots ?? Foolish.

I wish there was a native screen shot function too and also the option to hide the UI with one key press would be nice to go along with that.
As it is I have been using the screen shot option that comes with sweetfx/reshade to take my pictures and that is working out quite well for me. Just have to mess about cropping out the UI /sigh
FOUND IT.

use "Print Sreen/Sys Req" button next to Scroll lock or after F12.

Screenshots will be stored in where witcher.exe is present
i.e ..../bin/x64 folder
Bitching about the absence of a mere screenshot button looks silly compared to something as basic as being able to rebind all controls.

Nope. This does not work for me. Indeed, it's the first key I try for any game.
