I want to use Galaxy to get achievements, but I also want to bypass the new launcher and go straight to the game, is this possible? I have downgraded, but I'm thinking about the future.

Yes, you can change this. I followed the directions in the following forum post in the Cyberpunk forum and applied it to that game as well as The Witcher and it works.

Thanks for the reply, I already knew about the custom executables, I'm hoping to find a way to launch the galaxyclient.exe with arguments that allow to specify which of the executables to use - dx11 or dx12. That way I can get Vortex mod manager to launch either one and still get the achievements etc. It is possible to specify the game id as an argument to the exe but that will launch whatever the 'default' executable is.
