I am doing the quest with the botchling and are trying to turn it into a lubberkin. I am using axii and have tried to cast it from angles all around the baron and from different distances up close and farther away but axii does nothing. I am playing ng+ and I just don't get it, it worked just fine in my first playthrough.

Do you have Delusion placed in your character sign tree?

Yup, level 3. I just went in and checked to be sure.
Thanks for taking an interest though!

Ok, the only other thing that I can think of is that calming the botchling is only possible when not in combat. Make sure all wraiths are dealt with first.

Yes, but I looked around and there were no specters left and Geralt changed to the out of combat stance.
I didn't want to stop playing yesterday so I just chose the other option and killed the botchling.
Thanks anyway!
