Hi, I want to ask if I'm the only one having a big problem with FPS and general game performance after the Next-Gen update. I own an RTX 3060Ti, i7-10700K and 32GB RAM and I'm playing at 1920x1080 resolution. Before the update my game was running beautifully at 120+ FPS... Now? For example, in Novigrad my FPS is only around 55 FPS... seriously? In order to even get at least that 100 FPS in Novigrad with that build, I have to lower the graphics settings to Low? Anyone else having similar problems? Or is it just me for a fool. And I should point out that I always have Ray Tracing turned off.

Novigrad is a stutter-fest now. My 9700k used to hover around 20~30% usage before, now it's going at least at 70% for no reason. FPS used to hold at steady 75 (capped) now it's going into the 50's, while there is plenty of GPU to spare (3060Ti as well).

Hopefully there will be an update to fix these problems...

It's bad here too. The game does not fill the entire screen! I've already changed all possible display settings (Full Screen, Windowed) and even then there's a black border all around the screen. Also I could only run the game more or less on low. Still, the character's movement seems a bit weird. And I also found the control response (xbox usb) slow. For example, when I direct the character to walk forward, it takes about half a second to perform the action.

Has anyone else had any of these problems? managed to solve?

About movement there's option "alternative movement" which can cause similar feel (for me at least). Still can't tell for shure now, update in process :D
However, for players who want to play the classic version of the game that runs and looks just as beautiful... Just go to Library> Manage Installation> Configure> Beta channels and select Classic. :)
This black border all over the screen is killing me man. Shit.
I'll probably stick with the classic version of the game forever. In Toussaint... (Next-Gen = 65 FPS / Classic = 145+ FPS) Choose... A few more details but staggeringly lower performance, or for me still a beautiful base game with very good performance.
Same here, on my 2080s and ryzen 7 3700x, 32go ram, playing at 1080p, my framerate can drop to 45 fps in novigrad, steadish 60 everywhere else. I was at 120 fps on previous version.

I've done the same. Performance on this new version is garbage.
Honestly, I was only interested in the new graphical aspect of the game anyway, and it's nothing special... I'm not a fan of the Netflix series, so I'll overlook the fact that the game won't have Cavill's armor and alternate looks. We can be glad we have the option to switch back to the classic version of the game. If we didn't, I'd probably have a heart attack. :D Because there's no other game I'm as happy to go back to over and over again. <3
No, it's not you or your build, it's the damn horrible update, in my case with a 3070 and a 5600X I could run the game with everything at max (even with the Hairworks for Geralt and the beasts and with MSAA X4) at 144 fps (or more because it was capped at 144) with some minor and isolated drops to 120 . Now with the "next-gen update" with an equivalent configuration (without RT) it goes from 80 to 100 fps, even going down to ~70 for no reason. It is completely absurd.

These people don't learn.

It stutters like it's unreal engine 5 is it that does this all the time?
They delayed and delayed and so on, just to add some mods, and they broke the game also, performance is almost x2 worse than classic, reverted to classic, and with halk mod, the textures look crisper, but next-gen looks very muddy on the same resolution.

I wonder what saber interactive worked on for over a year, I bet they did something and deleted all their work and started from scratch and then they got bored put a stop to it, and added the mods in a few months, how this update passed the QA boggles my mind.
I can't even play the game. It crashes about two minutes in after startup.
