I see it's changed from Q1 to H1 for release.

That news broke a while ago, and no release date has been confirmed. Aside from a small handful of screenshots (I think 2 or 3 were officially released) and brief, high-level synopsis, there isn't much out there. Can't wait, though! I've had a miserable time trying to find a worthy follow-up since I finished the game several months ago (not counting HoS).

A little bird told me that some BaW info got leaked today (warning: spoilers were in it).

If you actually check out the leak (which you may or may not want to do), there is in fact a possible release date mentioned.

I lost my old Savegames, when i bought a new computer, because i am an idiot.
Now i wait for Blood and Wine to start the game again.

That sucks man. Official sources but the release no earlier than May though.
I was gonna wait with buying HoS and get both and then play again, but that's 3 months away. I couldn't wait :P
Besides I was planning to do 3 playthroughs anyway. Red, green and blue. I already did the 'red' playthrough (mostly sword skills) and now I'm doing green for HoS. I guess I'll do a 'blue' for BaW :)

Spreading rumors?!

I just shared a piece of information that I found on the web. The validity of that is - as any such information - by default, debatable. There was no firm statement from my part.

The point of posting here is tied to my interest towards / and lack of information about Blood & Wine's release date.

So, stop reacting and learn to RESPOND. :)

So, if Highlancer had attached a disclaimer, would that have been acceptable? Personally, I don't think he did anything wrong, and while I can't speak for others, I did not read anything more into his post than he had found a piece of information on the web somewhere, which anyone with an ounce of common sense would know to take with a grain of salt if not from an official source. He simply pointed out that some "website" had posted a release date; there was never any mention that it was sourced from CDPR or that it was from a reliable source.

Let's not forget, as Highlancer pointed out, that this is a message board for people to post about a highly anticipated game/expansion that we know little about. I see no harm in mentioning that a random website posted what may or may not turn out to be the correct release date. Now, if he had preached it as the gospel or trolled in some way, that would have been a different story.

Hickory, you've made countless positive contributions on these boards and helped a ton of people enjoy this amazing game, but occasionally you need to ease up just a bit. Not trying to start a war, just sharing my personal opinion.

Because they achieve nothing except for fueling false expectations. They serve no purpose whatsoever.

They quoted spurious information from a poster, *not* from the website, which clearly states June, and even that is guesswork, unless that website has inside information. ... spreading rumours. Quite the double standard there. Ok for one, but not another. Typical. As was I. Again with the double standards.
