I have seen a lot of people stating that they won't touch the game until the 1.0.7 patch is released. Why is that? I got the game last week and I haven't experienced any major bugs apart from the NPC pop-in which can be annoying. There are obviously several minor bugs as well but nothing game breaking in my opinion.

There is nothing wrong with the game, couple of niggles but apart from that it's superb.

Just ignore the flames and enjoy your game.

You won't have to wait for long, because patch 1.07 is out now and I guess it will soon be available from GOG.

PS. The patch has 7.6GB which is extraordinary.

Yeah - I agree with the others...

Some people here are seeing an pop-in they do not like, and suddenly Armageddon is coming. They call the developers by names that are not only humiliating, but also aggressive. It is really an shame to see that people can go so wildly over the top that it becomes completely insane.

I really don't know what's going on in the heads of these guy's. I cannot grasp it or understand it.

As I said before.. I probably growing old, because I can only see those weird persons as "spoiled kids"

I wonder why the patch is so big? Are there new textures or audio or something? Else I guess a lot of changes were made to many of the core files ...

Personally I stopped playing shortly after the 1.06 patch in anticipation of the 1.07 with control improvements. I disagree with all the players saying the game is hunky dory from the get go (you can hate on me all you want, the controls and small bugs just ate away at me to the point of annoyance). Hopefully these will be fixed sometime in the future so I can get back to the fantastic quest experiences. They can take their time FFS, there are other games to be enjoyed unless this is the ONLY game you own!!

I would like to state one thing though, they should keep to their word or just not say anything. It is highly unprofessional to say they will release the DLC per the usual schedule, and the 1.07 patch within 24 hours, and not deliver. They should be like Valve (or is it ID?) and have the slogan "when it's done".

I've said this somewhere before, but they have changed the fundamentals of the game in so many ways with this patch.

I you think about just one tiny aspect of the patch, something like "Roach no longer freaks out when he comes to a small ish gap" think of all of those tiny gaps throughout the game, now times that little bit of the patch by however much else is being changed with 1.07......WOW. I wouldn't want to do it, like most of us typing away I'm too lazy for that lol

I think the problem is many gamers are a passionate sort, quick to anger and difficult to compensate. They are like wizards in this way, without any special powers whatsoever except complaining and waiting for the next quick fix :)

Looks like the size was greatly exaggerated (surprise!), it shows as just over 2 GB in my library.
I was waiting for the patch due to the quest fixes I didn't have any real issue with anything else I just didn't want a quest to bug out on me. That and I had enough to keep me occupied during the wait. Besides its the internet stub your toe and by the time you've posted about it on the internet your leg has fallen off.

The size difference is due to different patching methods between steam and gog.
