So, CDPR has officially delayed the launch of TW2 on 360. Some official note regarding that urgent matter was officially released in Poland. According to it, they simply need some extra time for polishing, as they don't want to botch anything. The elements of gameplay seem to be something more than just typical "porting".

Currently they plan to make it available in stores somewhere in the Q1 of 2012. Thing is, getting that Microsoft certificate also takes some time, even a few months...

Polygamia.pl is the source for now. And they are a hell of reliable source. EDIT after 4 minutes: Oh, and cdprojekt.pl as well.

Second EDIT: Legal dispute with NB is, as we could expect, another reason.

As PC user, I wish you a lot of patience.

Apple to oranges comparison. Two games couldn't be more dissimilar.

Skyrim will be the same what Oblivion was. Only in other locations.

I hope not. I mean oblivion needed loads of mods to be good.

Edit: and it still had problems. W2 seems alright.. (it better be, i payed for that 45 euros..) But I just loved the first one and don't hate the second. I've heard it's shorter so I just took hard right from the first playtrough. More you play that game, better it feels. Still in the I guess at the beginning as in flotsam.

Besides, their non-linearity can't be compared either - in TW2 it's about decisions and a non-linear story; Skyrim is about an open world which lets you decide when to continue with the linear storyline.
As a consequence: TES is focused on exploration and side quests, TW2 focuses on a strong main plot.
TES has a generic player character which is defined freely on the go. In TW2 the player is put in the role of an existing character.
TES is traditionally very stat-heavy and has independent enhance-by-use skills. TW2 character builds are based on skill-trees and spending skill-points.

I really can't see what these two games have in common apart from the very, very general statements that they're 'RPGs' and 'Fantasy'.

Blind people find both games difficult to play. Both games have worlds with stuff in them. There seems to be a distinct lack of elephants in both.

I was going to point out the "dark fantasy/high fantasy" thing, but you beat me to it so I'm agreeing with you with the aid of sarcasm :)

As for the delay, if that's what they feel is best, I can't hold it against them. They gave a very good product in TW2, and in TW1. So if they want to take some time to fine tune the experience on the console so that if I choose to get it, all the better for me in the long run.....

Now that you mention it. They even both got Draugrs.... so now we're not only talking 'similar' but we're talking 'rip-off'! Skyrim is a total TW2-rip-off!
