The game is still full of bugs or annoyances, like stealth mode being annoyingly faulty, dying being stuck on campfires, after dialogue entering combat with sword undrawn, unable to draw sword for a few secs, quest dialog options buggy, etc.

They need to fix the bugs first.

Crysis 2 sucks in every meaning of the word. That's not a good example of DX 11.

Don't know about Crysis 2, but tessellation is* overrated. As John Cormack explained "Is is something you see" visually, nothing great in it as justs bumps up the polygon count with difference in solid height in 3D space.

They said there are going to be about 20 technical fixes, so maybe it's there.

One would hope. Something as major as the interface would surely get a feature in the video though, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

The rules are but a guidelines for general user acceptance, some points in the rules still adhere in the game if you take both PC and Xbox version into account.

But anyways...the eight golder rules do not explain how to apply the missing rule in practically, and is ambiguous to use if the UI has relation to more than one set of base reference(finding it hard to find the correct term)...with no detailed requisite as to why it should adhere to specific designs. It applies marvelously for individual or minority acceptance cases, but not to the other portion.

For appearance, the UI can be modified (apart from functionality) by replacing the images.

I don't think they would want to talk about overhauling or fixing the UI in their official promo dev diary for one reason - it would be admitting officially that the UI is broken/badly designed, and even if fans or themselves think that it needs improvement, it wouldn't sound too good from PR/marketing perspective.

This movie is a promotional thing, so they concentrate on talking about new cool things and not admitting "hey world, our UI was shitty, we are changing it" - which to me is totally understandable.
