Pangaea666: sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 libasound2:i386 libasound2-data:i386 libasound2-plugins:i386 libgtk2.0-0:i386 libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 libsdl2-image-2.0-0:i386 libfreetype6:i386 libcurl3:i386
Followed this and they all downloaded - thank you so much. It appears I had many of these as there were 12 updates besides downloaded more files.
Pangaea666: then type in your password when prompted (sudo is kind of god mode on linux). If you run into problems doing this, let us know, and it may be possible to solve. The .sh file should be possible to run though. Maybe you need to right-click on it and mark it as an executable? Depends on what Linux distro you are on, I suppose. I'm on Linux Mint, and can run these .sh files without any hickups. Typically I get a popup box asking if I want to Run in, or Run it in Terminal. Both essentially do the same.
Ahh but when I left clicked on it I got an error that xed could not identify the coding.
so I did a bit of a search and found I need to make the file executable
So I used this to fix the problem
chmod +x gog_the_witcher_2_assassins_of_kings_enhanced_edition_2.2.0.8.sh
and then finally this to run it.
sh gog_the_witcher_2_assassins_of_kings_enhanced_edition_2.2.0.8.sh
It is installing now and I assume that is going to take a bit of time since it took me over 3 1/2 hours to download the file. (satellite is a solution to living in the middle of no where just not a fast one - I so miss my fiber optic connection)
I looked and didnt see how to give you a + vote or thumbs up but you deserve both for taking the time to help me out. I included what I did in case someone else runs into some type of problem in the future and needs the same type of help.
Oh and I am running Mint Linux 18 I dont know why yours reacted different but not matter your help was most excellent.
Thank You so very much once more.
Edit: I kept looking and did find the rating button. You got your plus. Dont know it that helps you somehow but at least it is some type of acknowledgement.
