Namur: FACT: The game is not a console port.

Gersen: Well the game is not a console port, and I disagree with most of the points of the OP (No idea what he means with "console-graphics"), but I am forced to admit that a lot of things in the game do look like a console port, the interfaces (inventory, skill screen,etc...), the ultra-limited in-game settings, etc... that's actually the first thing I noticed and they surprised me when I started the game.
This is what I was trying to say thanks Gersen and a ;lot of stuff and options are left out that the Org Witcher had it just very disappointing to me

Quoting my other post,

"some elements seem to to have been designed with a PC to Console port somewhere down the road in mind, yes"

The UI is the prime example of that.
The game's graphics are the best graphics in any RPG out there. They are comparable to the top PC games out their right now. Maybe the game is sluggish because you are trying to play it on settings that aren't suited to your hardware.

Look like I managed to skip that post :)

You're probably still a little bit disoriented from seeing Triss naked. I know i am ;)

The UI is probably my biggest gripe, it's cumbersome and weird to navigate. I'm really hoping they can make it more PC friendly at some point.

No I have better the recommended spec's What I mean is the character doesn't move as well as he did in the Org witcher

_Motoki_: It looks like a console game? Really? Where are the other console games that look this good because clearly I am missing out.

FlyByU: Cod4 and on are all console ports and handle sluggish like one as well there are many other console ports that are the same way.
You talk about sluggishness and mention a game that runs at a constant 60 FPS on console (CoD4), thus countering your own point. Do you even have a clue what you are talking about?

Namur: How did they port it from console to PC if there's no console version ? Some elements seem to to have been designed with a PC to Console port somewhere down the road in mind, yes, but that's definitely not the same

The graphics look amazing. The level of detail blows me away and any of the artists who worked on this game, well, i'll have their babies if any of them want me to.

This is most definitely not a rush job, saying so only makes you look silly.
but it sure does have the feel of a port. oviously they made it for pc first but with xbox in mind.

lol lol lol

In witcher 1 it looked like geralt was about to take a dump everytime he moved, is that what you call "great movement"?

Also Call of Duty 4 was a game later on ported to consoles (original dev was pc), I think you're kinda confused here.

Not to defend the consoles but all cod titles runs at 60fps, that's not something we refer to as "sluggish".

Are you on some form of medication by any chance?

LOL 60FPS I got over 500 FPS with CoD4 but it still doesn't play like The ones before it that were made for PC... Oblivion another port to PC I mean it was sluggish compared to TES3

I may not be able to make you understand but I know what I mean LOL!!!

No, i don't agree with that. They made some design choices that will likely make the game easyer to port but for the most part to me it feels like a game made with the PC in mind.
I have to play on low settings and it still looks better than any console game I've seen. They do need to fix frame rate issues though. ( if its possible)

And I have to laugh at people equating action combat with being dumbed down or console exclusive.

A port? Naw, now maybe easier to port then the first game, that's possible. I don't get the I'm playing port feeling from the witcher 2 at all.

You actually believe that they made it for PC first then oh lets port this later. No it was Port first with PC in mind that's why all the options are missing and UI is all messed up as well as all the bugs it has.

'In witcher 1 it looked like geralt was about to take a dump everytime he moved, is that what you call "great movement"? '' On my system it looks like he farts before he runs...its just weird -I think its because the camera is so close compared to Witcher 1 ...maybe its a SHART!!!
