Will we ever see this?
It would be awesome to play Witcher 1 with the RED engine and new combat system.

-just goes to show how much I love the new engine and combat system!-
If we're VERY lucky we'll see a console version of the first game with updated combat mechanics, me thinks.

It would be Greater to play TW2 with the stylism of the old and integrate the combat system so its similar to their original Witcher mechanics just better.

I gotta say, one of my fears of this game was that the mechanics, graphics, and character redesigns would make it hard to go back to W1 ever again, for lack of continuity. However, despite a brand new engine, storyline, characters, etc, the game, provides an almost identical sense of atmosphere and suspension of disbelief as the first one. I know longer see them as two games, but just onge huge one like Mass Effect. I love it!

That said, a total remake in this engine WOULD be absolutely amazing. Hell, all the voice work is already done, just design the areas and quests and plop in the audio. The more I think about it....the more my boner rises from the depths of pantsville.
I'm hoping CDP will see this and really consider this for the fans.

Agree 100%! It would be wonderful to see Witcher 1 in the full splendor of Witcher 2. I'd get a boner as well! Hahah!
