MADPADDY: Do you always start a new thread instead of reading the other ones with 50+ people saying what your saying ??.

james5272: I came here asking a question, of course I scanned the other topics before posting. There's no need for you to act so childish - isn't this game for a mature audience?
Its not childish its basic forum rules, how are people meant to find help if there are 100+ threads all saying the same,But people like you think they are special and should have there own special thread just for them.

Trying to reason with you would be a waste of time.

It looks like it probably is my processor. I thought the Dual Core was in the recommended specs, but it's actually minimum, so that would explain the terrible performance. Not interested in upgrading right now, so at least when I do get around to it the game will be in a better state than it is currently (patches, DLC). The game was a gift, so not really a loss.

Windows 7 64bit
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
4 GB DDR2-800
EVGA Geforce GTX 460 1GB

Uber off and most everything on high at 1920X1080. Quite smooth for me.
As far as I know (after reading tons of posts on Polish sites), the problem is ATI Radeon.

You may want to try to turn off antyaliasing (it worked for a lot of people).
The 5750 is just about equal to the minimum specs.

StingingVelvet: The betas that released today. And no, I don't even install the 3D drivers because I don't use 3D. You can choose for them never to install at all when installing the drivers by going to "custom installation."
Thanks. Yeah, I know how to avoid installing the 3D drivers. Just wondering, as that seems to be a big cause of issues for some people. I've not had time yet to actually play the game, but I have the 270.61 drivers installed, which apparently has issues even without the 3D driver components. So I was just curious what you were using. I'll probably grab the 275.27 beta drivers before I try playing.
Just wondering... For those with Nvidia cards, I'm running a gtx285 and temps sit around 81-83 w/ fan speed at 80% - is this normal?
gtx2XX series runs at that temps. My 570 is running at 63 with 83 fan speed
C'mon, the game can not be that terrible if I can run it in 1680x1050 with custom settings (ingame dof, bloom, near, medium textures, and so on...), and I have below specs processor (2.0 Ghz) and 9600gso graphic card.

Thanks for the reply (both of you). Been awhile since I've played anything... I guess 80 isn't as hot as it once was.
i'm have a q6600 running at 2.8ghz (quad core) 6 gigs of ram, and a Geforce gtx 560ti

This game runs like ass in both high and ultra settings (under 20fps on both)

It runs over 60fps on medium

What the hell is wrong with this game. I got this gfx card for da2, crysis 2, and witcher 2, and the first two work perfectly on max settings (i will agree it took drivers and patches to fix da2 though).

I'm tired of all this poorly optimized junk
MY SYSTEM MEETS RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS and still is very unplayable.

amd 7850 2.8GHz
2GB ram
ati 4850hd 512MB
ati settings doesnt have any aa or af or any other stuff enabled.
Settings
---------------
All advanced options DISABLED
texture downsale - none
texture memory size - small
shadow quality - low
number of shadowed lights - low
lod distance - minimal

windowed mode also tried.SAME

the game was litteraly lagging, stuttering 1fps 5fps, a lot of stuttering.
Added virtual memory(paging) 4gb and now the game is stuttering but rarely, the game is still unplayable with 15fps...

CONSLUSION!
What a bad game (performance wise)
Maybe there are some geeks who can tell where to edit any .cfg or something to chop of unnecessary stuff to make game work more better?

Did you try it in windowed mode?

Recent nVidia cards were made for all that heat.
