We are working extremely hard to bring forums back online as soon as possible. It should be back any day now. I will keep you guys posted. Once again, sorry for the delay.

Thank You
Also, one more thing. The fact that you are not able to login/register on our website/forums has nothing to do with registration/dlc problems. Registration/claiming dlc process works within the game launcher - this has nothing to do with our forums being offline.
I tried to register the game using my old account, but I receive a connection error asking me to try again later. Is the account system currently offline?

You have to create a new account in order to register Witcher 2. Merging accounts will be offered when forums are back online.

Demut: Here’s a question: Will I be able to register The Witcher 2 with my old account when they fixed whatever is broken? Or will I even then have to create a new one, register the game and then merge the two? Because if the former is the case I’ll just chill out and wait.

You have to create a new account, afterwards you will be able to merge it with the old one.

So you already know that you won’t be able to fix it? Or in other words: we won’t be able to use our previous accounts and have to create a new one no matter what? Even after you got your stuff together?
5 days later, still no official forum. How lovely they redirect their customers to GOG or neogaf, hopefully someone at witcher.com alerted neogaf and gog on the increased bandwidth.

I still haven't recieved my fucking password retrievel (created the account 2 days ago, lost password) almost been 3 days...

Both accounts will be merged - I don't see any problems here.

I just don’t understand why I have to create a new account. Why can’t you get your sh...oot together and make the old ones work again? What are you hiding from us? Is there sequel to this last, awful forum update coming where you redo everything and everyone complains about it afterwards? This simply seems fishy, is all. Unless you were to change the entire structure, why couldn’t we use our old accounts anymore?
I thought the new forum would come up today (sunday may 22)?.

Or was that just a weird dream i had..
Well, do you remember where you learned of that?
people have been saying cdp have purposefully kept their forums offline so that they dont have to deal with questions, problems and criticisms... id like to think that wasnt the case, but im starting to think the 'conspiracy nutters' have it totally right this time... i mean come on, its pretty hard to stay optimistic when it just HAPPENED to occur a week before launch, and still isnt fixed 10-11 days later.... kinda screams of 'we dont want to deal with our customers right now'...

its a forum. it doesnt accidentally come down just as their new game is being released (you know, when the greatest number of people are asking the most questions and needing the greatest support - and posting the biggest criticisms) and then take a whopping 10+ days to fix... especially for people who i would imagine have solid technical knowledge. cdp aren't amateurs.

Several mirrors would have had to have been broken under many ladders for anyone to HONESTLY have that kind of bad luck.

just takes cdp down a couple of notches in my eyes.. always used to have more respect for them, and thought they had more respect for their community...

i agree with that assessment. however i think it's perfectly understandable. people are idiots already(especially over the internet), and bigger idiots as critics.

having worked on game development before, i think an entire month off from the whining is well deserved.
