I'd love to see Geralt go up against some really awesome monsters in his future quests. Vampires, werewolves, zombies, mindflayers (ok, that's D&D but still) and other such undead to use his silver sword against. Fighting bosses of those monsters would be EPIC!!

We need more monsters! :)

While more monsters would be cool, I'd rather not see the standard array. The Witcher's world has a lot of very different and unique aspects, and the monsters are one of them, IMO. So no, I don't want the standard vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc.

If you played the Witcher 1, you should know what kind of Vampires and werewolf exist in The witcher's universy.

Yes, and they don't sparkle either.

And my namesake the Koschay (or Koshey) is not a bony old man or even a lich.

And TW1's (only) werewolf was awesome.

It's just, none of these live near Pontar. But instead you have a wide variety of rabid zombies.

An interesting fact is that you can get the bruxa entry in the monsters section of the journal if you buy and read a book in Act 2 (Roches's path), I believe. So I suppose that at some point there was such an intention.

But maybe we will have some vampires in future DLC. I would like to see how garkains look in the RED Engine. :)

I was just saying exactly the same thing, lol.
Including the hope of bruxae and fleders in DLC or expansion.

Yes I spend more time using my steal sword than my sliver sword, which I suppose is actually bad for a Witcher since Witchers are supposed to kill monster not people (though some of the people do behave like monsters)

There's a bruxa (a type of vampire) that randomly can appear in the swamp outside Flotsam, by the tree with two hanged elves. You can also encounter three of them in a group during the quest Little Sisters - at least they have the bruxa appearance. Either way, I'm perfectly content with the monster types you can meet in TW1 and TW2. There are even more interesting ones mentioned as flavour text and in journal entries, and probably more still in the books. The monster design is amazing and I don't see why we need to add more 'standard fare' monsters... The Witcher bestiary draws inspiration from known sources, sure, but it still feels truly unique.

I thought the one in flotsam was a wraith / ghost or thats what other people have said. I've yet to meet her.

Are there zombies in the Witcher universe? I mean, drowners are kind of like zombies, if you think about it. You have to be careful with what you add in though, because you can completely destroy the mood and focus of the game by being like, "Rawr, random zombie/vampire/random other generic monster encounter!"

It's like the last Resident Evil movie--you can't just add in random monsters without having a reason for them being there, and the amount of explaining you'd need to do to explain why they're present would completely suffocate the main story.

I really miss the Bruxa, Fleders and Garkains. Some of my favorite monster of TW1.

It's random, I think, which one you get. If the male elf's spirit comes to attack you, it's a regular wraith. If it's the female elf's, it's a bruxa. The cool thing is that they're both named (randomly, but still).

Ever since Twilight Saga was released for public consumption… the vampires decided to go on strike.
I believe their demands are to be taken seriously, until them, I am not really sure if you will see them featured anywhere.

I saw that movie for free on demand and still feel robbed. The only people who should ever be allowed to handle a movie adaptation of anything are those who lose sleep wondering if they're being true enough to the source.
