Hey, glad that it finally comes to mac, checking on the requirement:

"Recommended system requirements (Mac): OS: OS X 10.7.5 or higher. OS X 10.8.0 or higher Processor: Quad Core Intel Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: GeForce GT 650M 1GB (on 1440x900, low), Radeon HD 6970M 1 GB (on 1920x1080, medium) Hard Drive: 25 GB HD space, Please note: Nvidia is constantly perfecting the graphics drivers for Mac Book Pro with the Nvidia 650M Graphics Card. Until they provide an update the performance in the game on Macs with 600 Series nVidias may not measure up to usual levels.Patched to version 3.0"

That makes me a little sad, a macbook retina can only run with "1440x900, low".

My question is the last phrase "Patched to version 3.0", what this means?

Thank u for ur answers guys

Since it's at the very end, I'm going to assume that it's an indication of which patch you download from here and not something specific to Macs. It used to be (for PC owners, obviously) that the download version was unpatched. Then they uploaded "version 2.0," and after that the Enhanced Edition, which is colloquially known as 3.0. It's basically saying that you're downloading the game already patched to 3.0.

Patched to version 3.0 means the game has the version 3.0 patch already, which includes the Enhanced Edition.

The 650M is on pair with the old desktop 8800GTX version, which runs on medium in Windows. The card is new and with driver improvements it could very well run a bit better.
That to be said, THe Witcher 2 looks pretty decent on low settings.

I'm about to finish the installation myself, on my mac with GTX285, which is about 50% faster than the 650M, and I'll report back with how it runs.
Well, so much for Witcher 2 on Mac OSX.
Attaching OpenGL profiler shows i have an average of 15 FPS on lowest possible settings..

God, that s far from playable.

Will test later with 650M

BTW: I m newbie of mac os, according to the requirement, a newer driver could make it better. On the site of nvidia, on oct 012012 they released a CUDA driver, no idea whether it is a graphic card driver or sth else

CUDA drivers are for computation, not for gaming.
