i noticed there is a very faint grid on geralts face and have spotted on triss as well. any idea of how to get rid of this?
I have the same thing - almost like a net over his skin? It's not just him, it tends to be on other characters too at certain times. I think it's something to do with the shadows and possibly something to do with our graphics cards. Do you have an ATI HD card?
I have it the same. It pisses me off from time to time, but I think I learned to not pay attention.
I am playing with almost all the goodies disabled, but textures are pumped and shadows are on medium

and yeah I have ATI HD card.

That's just how the shadows look in this game. Instead of being fully transparent, they're dithered. Apparently, dithered shadows are much less system-intensive.

Yup, dithering. And you will find that it varies with ambient light effects, as well as the light hitting your monitor. Also, will stop noticing most of the time, after a while.
Dithering......damn annoying and i find it very noticable :(
I've noticed it some but that's only when I play on low settings. At high or ultra I do not notice it at all.
Dithering is very common in 3D application especially in open world / extensive 3D graphic video game. I have seen this in many game that make me used to it.
I had this problem in the Witcher 1 as well... sometimes it happens, someimes it doesn't... but I think it does have something to do with ATI HD cards
i have a nvidia/ evga gtx 480. i run the game maxed out, 1080p, no uber sampling and it runs near perfect (prologue cutscenes with foltest ran like crap for some reason). it is a shame that what is possibly the best looking game ever made has such a small yet annoying graphics problem
that's not an annoying graphic problem, it is more like a 'feature'. Dithering present in everything including the audio.
I heard that if you watch any videos before you play (youtube DVD etc...) it can cause problems with cut scenes. The best way to solve that issue is to re-boot your computer before you play.

Indeed. GTA4 did the same thing.

i will try that. you could be on to something.
I've noticed the same thing- never seen this effect before, and it can be quite distracting. Sometimes the grid is on, other times I seem not to notice it. I'm using an Nvidia 9600 GSO, so it's not an ATI problem necessarily.
