Hi All,

When I run TW2 it states it recommends my settings be put on low. I wasnt expecting to run the game on the highest settings but I was expecting to get away with high.

I have an Alienware M17xR4 with the following specs:

AMD 7970m video card with 2GB RAM
i7-3630QM @ 2.40GHz with turbo Boost
12GB DDR 3 RAM

Can anyone advise me please if this is correct? If not, are there any workarounds to this? I'm not sure what my optimal settings would be, going on the assumption the auto detection is wrong.

You should be good with setting it to High. Your specs would even allow Ultra, the auto-detection might have a glitch. Just check out Ultra, whether you experience any lags or not. If so, you can change it to a lower setting, but according to specs you're good to go (even with a high resolution).

Thanks, appreciate the help.
DeMignon already helped you, but just for future information, games tend to detect the integrated GPU over the discrete one, so it's common for the games to suggest lower settings. But they still run on your discrete GPU, so turning most options up should be no problem. Ubersampling being the one thing in this game you'll probably need to disable.

I have the integrated GPU disabled, the only visible GPU is the AMD 7970. Despite AMDs patches, there is still a performance hit when running with Enduro enabled.

I have adjusted the settings most run fine on Very High/Ultra, happy days :D
