So I was finally able to get troll trouble installed with patch 1.1 so I have been playing through some flotsam missions. I decided to side with the troll - however after my conversation with the troll ended, even thought i told him I would be searching for the killer, he immediately attacked me. I ran away, thinking maybe he was just aggro'd accidentally. I was able to get away. I proceded with the mission, killed dimitri, etc.

When I return to give the troll the news, he immediately attacks me. I have tried everything I can think of short of loading a save prior to beginning the troll trouble mission (i have done way too much between now and then to start over).

Has anyone else had this trouble? it seems like this quest is bugged for me. Is there any console, any way to reset the trolls aggro status towards me so i can talk to him and tell him the news?

Similar scenario: He was doing the same to me never got an option to help him...went away tried another adventure re-loaded my pre-troll save and tried again this time got the optional dialogues???
Still waiting for eve(saw the furrier/troll Trophy guy) so I can fight/arm wrestle whatever I'm suppose to do next!!
The troll attacks you initially - after you tell him that you have no vodka/won't give him any. But he sits down rather quickly afterwards (when his health gets to half, I'd wager) and proceeds to tell you his story.

Sounds like something in the scripting messed up. I had the Troll DLC working prior-patching, though. I still save compulsively, though. I'm at the end of chapter 2 and I probably have over a 100 saves by now. Just in case something happens like this.

Similar story, sans spoiler, on why you should save: I was in a dungeon, and almost at point of completion, when a monster backed me into a corner and my keyboard controls stopped responding. I mean, escape worked, but that's all. So quite naturally it butchered Geralt. It said it auto-saved when I entered the dungeon...but when I died, it simply went to main menu, instead of asking me to start over from last save. Darn. I had to do it again :p

I save plenty. But as I said, between when I initially spoke with/battled the troll, and when I actually battled whats-his face and returned to the troll to tell him the news, many days, and many events had passed - therefore, reloading before i started the quest would lose me days and days (hours in real world time) of gameplay.
