You can still complete the Meletele quest even if you did not get the tongue from this quest. Cedric has the items for sale.

Most of the posts in this thread were made before the 1.2 patch, which made those items available.
(Also, weren't they sold by Cedric? I don't really know, 'cos the only game I missed the heart quest was when I never got the amulet)

After winning at dice with Spengler, choose to ask him about traps rather than take coin. The Troll's Head is offered along with traps. Simple, but bit misleading because there is only reference to traps, not the Troll's Head at the beginning of the dialogue tree.

You are right it is Cedric, I edited my post. I only started playing at patch 1.2 so I don't know what has gone before.

Thank you for the mod. I was disappointed when I saw that the gambler didn't propose the troll head after the dice quest. This mod is a good compromise.
