Thanks so much! This was getting so annoying.
Im sorry i didnt find a bug in this quest and i got them both done. only thing i noticed is that i got a lower kind of schematic from the Troll.

When i won the head after the poker game i completed Melitele's quest. After that i went to the troll, told him (and did kill the bad guys) i kill the murderers, and gave him his wifes head back. Now he gave me a lower kind of schematic. This was in my opinion because his wifes freaking tongue is missing. so i didnt get the the Raven Armor Schematics.
But isnt this the whole point of a role playing game?! making decicions that have an effect?

I think its no bug, its part of the game, but we have to ask the makers of the game to be sure. but if its true what i say, the mod is just a form of cheating..:P
Let's make this clear:

1) I finish gambling quest, beat Sendler and choose a bomb as a prize. No option to get the Troll head.

2) I finsh the Troll Trouble quest, I chose to take the non-violent path. Sendler told me I could play for the Troll head, but that option does not show up when I play him, even if I win. Okay, guess I don't really need it then.

3) I stumble upon a new quest that I somehow missed earlier called Melitele's Heart. Let's see, I already have all the other ingredients, only missing a Troll tongue.

Imagine my frustration that I am forced to kill the troll to complete that quest (despite me deciding to spare the Troll in an earlier quest, and that the guy who asked me to spare him was probably grateful for that). I decide to spare him, because when I'm trying to be a reasonably good guy, killing the troll after accepting the rewards for sparing the troll is kind of evil.

The thing is, you should be able to play for the troll head, even after beating Sendler as part of the gambling quest, and they should not be connected like that. What would you do in Geralt's place? You'd probably explain that you need that troll head for something that you didn't know earlier, or that you just need the tongue, and try to come to an agreement.
Thank you so much for the mod. I have been unable to download Troll Trouble, so this mod will at least allow me to complete the heart sidequest. I'll unfortunately have to do the Troll Trouble quest on my second playthrough since the patch isn't out yet.
Could people who haven't run into this please stop saying that it isn't a bug? This is an exact transcript of the conversation that happens if you've already played Sendler at dice poker before doing the Troll quest:

Geralt: I'd like to buy that head from you.
Sendler: No way! The head's mine, you smelly swine!
Geralt: I'll give you a good price, unless you prefer to trade.
Sendler: Hmm, we could roll some dice for it, provided you make it worth my while.
Nothing happens
Geralt: Thanks, that was helpful.

If that's not a bug, then it's presented extremely poorly to the player.

I already had Raven armour from a neutral path saved game import and I found that by returning the head to the Troll that I got a schematic for Hunter's Armour, which I found to be the best Armour in the entire 1st Act/Chapter.

I dont get the Raven armour as well by returning the she-troll head. I do get the hunter armour diagram though

Personally i think that if you already have beaten Sendlare, when you go back and ask for the troll he must only say "Go away jerk, it's mine and i don't want to trade it." Life is hard. You should get it the next run or load an earlier savegame. Just my two cents.
Thanks for this mod. I did evrything right but then my troll's tongue, I think during some too enthousiastic potion brewing

I agree that's how it should've been. Choices and consequences. However, in this case he actually mentions the possibility of playing for it, but the player isn't given the option.

Either the extra line of dialog should be cut out, or the player should be allowed to play him again.
I wouldn't have minded an intimidation alternative to playing dice as well...
"Give me the She-Troll's head now, or I'll let it's mate come collect it later."
Wouldn't care if he got pissy and wouldn't trade with me afterwards.

I don't mind choices and consequences, but in this scenarion, you don't get the choice at all. Quests should not ruin other quests if you don't know about it beforehand. That's bad design, nothing to do with choices and consequences. If this well designed, it should let you know before finishing the Poker quest that by finishing this, you will ruin the chance of finishing another quest non-violently. How they do that is another question, but finishing a straightforward quest like that should not cut the lines of other quests, especially if you haven't even collected that quest yet.

This looks more like a slip-up.
Same trouble here but different cause. I've completed the trolls quest - saved the troll, killed bandits. Didn't speak to the witch & get that quest after this.

Now I can't get the She-Trolls head because the guy won't play poker with me - says I need to be good before he will.

So I figure, I've never played Dice Poke & I need to play people & get good at it. Problem is, I'm at the later stage where I have to decide to go with Yorveth or Roche - hence the towns already had it massacre & there is no one left to play poker with!!!

So I can't even get to play poker with the guy that has the She-Trolls head... hence I don't get the opportunity to finish the Melitelles Heart quest.
To complete the poker quest, win against Bendeck, then Casmir, then Sindram in the basement of the Inn. They will send you to another, who, when you win, will send you to Sendler.
