Hi anyone else having this problem? I've completed all the side quests except for the Troll Contract, and am unable to get the Female Troll's Head - the dialogue begins with an offer to win it in a game of dice poker, but then nothing happens after that. Playing regular dice poker does nothing.

That issue is known and caused by finishing the Poker-quest before gambling for the Troll's Head. Nothing much to do about it, except loading an earlier save game or leaving the quest open (or solving it otherwise, if thats possible).
Ugh thanks, wonder if they're going to change it soon, the poker quest was basically the first quest I finished and I don't want to go alllll the way back :(.

I seem to remember reading that getting the she-troll's head was optional. The dialogue you had should have suggested you visit the Inn in Flotsam, in the basement near the brawlers, as memory serves. Not getting the head should only mean missing out on a small reward.
Maybe a stupid question, but who should I talk to after getting hte quest to find murderers? I tried village elder, people in the pub and nothing.

Zoltan, Dandelion
The good news is that they're working on it

On a side note:...A DLC that's FREE!?

WTF, in this day and age! 8^) Way to trounce EA!
Actually, it's not a real DLC. If you check out the game guide you get (or download it from GOG extras) this quest was planned as a part of the game and was cut off on release. Maybe they didn't plan to include it (like the 2 finishing animations we don't get) or they made it a free DLC for PR. Main thing is, they always planned it as a port of the game and when it was cut off, they probably forgot about the dice poker quest rewards.
BTW, all this does is gets you Raven Armor recipe and Troll's tongue (instead of killing the troll, you need it for Melitele's Heart if you have the medallion), and you already have the armor if you played Witcher 1.
It's completely optional and of no consequence otherwise.

Why do you go back so far to show an example of a DLC cut out of the game and charged money for? Just look at Dragon Age 2? They didn't only cut out DLC's and charge for them, they released unfinished DLC and charged 8$ for it.

Simple, I never bought DA2, nor will I ever buy DA2! (Hell, I won't even DL the pirated vers!)
Unless, they A: Come out with a SDK, (Which is unlikely, 'cause Bioware's EA's new bitch!)
or B: GOG actually releases it here with the lost content mod Ala' KoTOR II..Which would mean that "A." already happened! ;^)

BTW, Thanks for giving me more reason to blacklist this parody of an RPG from Bioware! ( owned and mutilated by EA!) Bioware truly earned their title! I blame EA for the rushed half-game, but I also blame Bioware for selling out to these fiends!
