So I bought the EE on the steam summer sale, and I'm having a lot of problems (mainly crashes) I didnt have when i first play the game when it originally came out (not on steam) So I was wondering if i could install the copy from my GOG library and use the saves i have on the steam copy? I don't want to start the game all over again

Yeah, they're all compatible so long as you're using updated versions of both.

Do i need to uninstall the steam game first or can i just install them both on the pc or what?

Hmm... not sure.

It'd probably be safest to uninstall the Steam version first. Even if you could manage to get them both installed at once, they probably share some registry values, meaning uninstalling one could potentially cause problems for the other. I'm not certain that it'd play out like that, but it's usually best to play it safe.
