I can kind of see the point of having to work with a project -- pouring your heart out. Then doing it all over again for a port of the same thing. *shrug*

- Arc, I'm pretty sure they appreciated him. This game wasn't exactly bargain bin content, so I'm sure CDPR is no sweatshop. Given the immense amount of work that went along with this project, Gop really is probably just burned out from it.


Which can also mean they may have asked more than he was capable, but not such that they would treat him poorly... or I'm sure you'd be seeing many more employees leaving CDPR.

Tomasz did a great job, he sold the game to the planet with his enthusiastic smile and determination.
Did not always agree with him but doesn’t matter, he did an excellent job and CDPR should do everything they can to get him back after he has his rest.

And you guys keep up the good work with the Witcher franchise even when Tomek is not around any more :)

The business of making video games is very demanding and does take it's toll. because of deadlines ( often unreasonable ) and such, there is more than a small amount of pressure. I often thought that it would be fun to be in that buisness, but after reading accounts from those that have been and are in the business, I have come to realize that it isn't the bed of roses some imagine it to be.

At this time, I think it is best to wish him well in whatever may next come his way if in fact he has left. As is always the case, there seems to be a lot of speculation, and little actual information. Audrey seems to have dug up some stuff though. I am not surprised, but do feel a bit of sadness. As I said, the business of making games is pressure ridden and can and does take it's toll.

Gop was an avid gamer and cited more console titles than PC ones as influence for TW2. I doubt he's unhappy with how it turned out. When he says he's burned out on the project I believe him.

I know some writers on the team took a break from the company after TW1 came out. Considering the number of years they've all been chained to The Witcher, I'm sure many on the team are ready for something new.

I wish Tomek all the best. He's one cool bro.
