Okay, I spoke too soon about not having had any problems with TW2. Since I just patched it, it now gets stretched out to try and fit into the 5:4 ratio of my monitor. Worse still, the image is off-centre so there's a black bar on the right and top and the bottom and left of the image is cut off. I took a screenshot of it and that actually came out in 16:9 oddly enough. It seems like it's my monitor trying to automatically fit the image in, but this has only happened since I just installed the patch.

I think they took down the GoG patcher before it brought those incomplete errors with it.

Think of them taking down the patch before mass chaos ensued as cautionary, and not them baiting you in just to snap it from your jaws.

The patch isn't live yet for GoG. Relax.

Borlag: Steam is updatign my game now, by downloading the whole game again. Don't really care though, but I can see it being more than just a bit annoying for those who have bandwidth limits.
really? the entire 16gigs or just the 9gb pack file?

Both my product version and file version read as 1.1.6157.43917, neither are 0.0.0.0

did you remember to change the settings, resolution and such?

I know the problem !
REMOVE ALL MODS and PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED DLC temporarily from the folder and patch it.

In my case i had to temporily remove:

items folder
abilities folder
fx folder
magical_suit.dzip
merchant.dzip
roche_ajcket.dzip
alchemy_suit.dzip
troll.dzip
succubus.dzip

And what do you mean they took it down? I just went to thewitcher.com patch and there was a gog version to download, so either they are pulling very slowly, or the patch is as good as any..

Well it does fix performance issues i didn't have and DLC issues i didn't have, generally, this is a really really small patch.... but it does increase performance.. so thats something i guess

it will do that for every patch

I didn't actually! I didn't think patches reset graphical settings, but I just happened to go into the graphical settings since not only was the image stretched, Geralt looked oddly jagged around the edges. It had reset everything to low. The resolution was still 1280x1024 and fullscreen, though, so I'm not sure why it stretched out, but it's okay again now.

I said this earlier but I guess noone tested it. Still not sure if they haven't updated the GOG patch anyways..as I think the filesize is different than it was last night.

But yeah I imagined mods might fluke the patcher out.
