Aspenwood: Hi, I'm posting here since the forums are still down on the main site. I installed patch 1.1 on my North American retail version, having unfortunately downloaded it before it got pulled :( Not only did the patch not fix "Troll Trouble," (still can't play poker with the guy to get the troll's head) but, even worse, it (partially) broke the control scheme when using an xbox 360 controller, as both thumbsticks no longer work in menus/at the title screen. My question to anyone from CD Projekt (or anyone else in the know) is how to fix this. Do I simply wait for the fixed 1.1 to be reuploaded? Or do I have to go through the hassle of uninstalling/reinstalling my game to get back to the vanilla version?

Roadking: Same thing happened to me however all it did was reset my settings. I had to go into ingame options and turn my pad on again and reset my video settings and all was fine,
I've tried all that, and it's had no effect.
Man all this time I shoulda been playing the game..

Thought, especially since the links went up, that the patch was coming. Now it's almost too late, since I have to get up and work.

Frustrating!
Think its safe to say no patch tonight. Ah well.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow, you're only a day
(or 6 hours, depending where you are) away......

Betcha they're young
Betcha they're smart
Bet they code things like
Cool games and art!
Betcha they're good --
(Why shouldn't they be?)
Their one mistake being
patch dates prematurally...

So maybe now it's time,
And maybe when I wake
Someone will patch up my Baby...
Maybe.
Well I'd be fine with that if they'd just give us an update.

Had the links not been put up I would have just been playing..but that sorta threw a wrench in the evening.
The CDProjekt guys should be going to work soon if they already haven't :)

If you reinstall, it should be fine.
We are still working on it, doing the best we can to bring the patch as soon as we can.

Great! Thanks for the reply :)

Did you stay up all night or did you just come to work?

ATI has already released an update for The Witcher 2 - http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst115ahotfix.aspx

You should learn from them and do not give us a release date, if you are not sure next time.

Best regards.

Sincerely

AMD released drivers that support TW2 in CrossFire, which is still buggy until CAP3.

CDP is releasing a patch for their game, across all systems, which fixes an incredible amount of bugs.

You need to cool down.

Not only for CF, but also for single GPU.

Yes this is the Witcher 2 hotfix - it should also slightly improve single GPU performance, but focus is CF support

Also - New CAP will be released by Friday (please don't use the leaked 11.5 CAP2) - The new CAP will be called 11.5 CAP3

Best regards.

He's right though, if they say today, it should mean just that. I am not taking anything from the hard work that CDP has put in, they have been awesome, but this was not the first time they messed up saying something was inbound only to have a delay happen.
Thx Marcin,
Do you guys EVER sleep? Or are there no labor laws in Poland? JK, enjoying the heck out of the game anyway warts and all. Take your time and do it right (which I know you are), and the people who keep hitting refresh can just wait a bit longer
They said a delay may happen...tonight was only ever an estimate.

Yeah, but you can't always anticipate a delay. It's not their fault, and jumping all over them for not having the patch here right this instant accomplishes nothing.
