can we download the patch through the launcher

eskiMoe: Pardon me if I'm rude but I'm only gonna thank if the patch fixes my issues.

But nice to hear your dedication in fixing the many issues that plague the game.
Yeah, that was rude.

What's the issue you are having? I am not really having issues with the game..just hope it runs a little better. Plus I appreciate the awesome support from this developer.

You shouldn't be so rude..its the middle of the night going into early morning where the Devs are and they stayed to get a patch out. Dare you to find any other game developer that would do this for it's fans.

Dblueguy: I'm a noob but how do I download patches from GoG?
You don't. This one will be available through the game launcher and through official Witcher site/support page. I think GOG may be uploading a new build as well with the patch built in.

I've heard you are supposed to be able to but...since part of the patch is to fix the launcher...i'd install it manually before you rely on the launcher if I were you...just a thought...remember DLC was supposed to work through the launcher and we know how that went. :D Manual works for me as my XP gaming box will not go on the Internet.

Yes, GOG's rule has been to put in the patch in the build. That said, if I were them I'd wait until all 3 reported patches are in place before doing a new build. Otherwise a LOT of work and have to retest with every new build. Safer to do in one shot I expect. anyway, if I were them...

PS: AHhhh still no GOG joy...!

Nah I think it's best to include this one as it solves critical issues and in turn would save them a lot of support headaches. Then a few months from now another build.

Worked for me too, but a lot of people reported issues with it.

Rarely do PC game issues apply to everyone.

Just as rarely do people not post about an issue as if it affects everyone. ;)

I mean, I have no problems with the game and have beat it three times now, but obviously you are going to hear from people who have issues more than people who don't.

Oh, woops, never knew that was an issue :) I knew the activation and and all that..and then some bug with Troll Trouble in game..but didn't know some couldn't download..I was lucky I guess.

Off topic, the main menu in game at some point changes scenery..what's the trigger? Is it the Chapter you are on?
Same 3 playthroughs, 0 issues.

I do believe.

But what if people seeing the patch try to apply it to a patched build? How would people know not to?
